Just some questions, but some spoiler space. DO NOT continue to read if you haven't seen it yet!

OK, that should be enough...

So what did you think? I thought it was talky in the first hour and then became cool when things started to blow up.

Did you cry when Data died? I almost did. I wonder if the next movie will be "The Search for Data." :)

i did cry, even though i knew that was going to happen. a lot of guys in the theatre here cried.

i thought it was good, but i almost fell asleep the first 30 minutes or so...

I haven't seen it, but I'm the type where spoilers don't really ruin the movie (unless it's like the end of Sixth Sense or similar) so I read this anyway. All the reviews so far have said this is the worst in the ST franchise. I'm interested in seeing what everyone here has to say. I trust my fellow DISers more than a paid movie critic anyway ;)

I thought the worst was ST V. Most said Insurrection was pretty bad, but even I liked that one.

The movie was okay but the ending just seemed to be lifted from Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan.

I haven't missed a ST movie yet while it was at the theater. I even sat through a marathon of 1-6 for 6's premier. I'll be seeing it this week no matter what the critics say :D

We just saw this last night. I thought it was a good movie... and yes ... I cried when Data died. :(

It is not a great (epic) movie like Lord of the Rings etc... but I was totally transported for the majority of the film and that is what a good movie should do for you. It was a bit "chatty" at the beginning - but kind of necessary to lay the information groundwork out to make the rest of it make sense.

SSB saw last night, and did NOT know about the ending... ! No tears in my beer, but was moved, for certain!

I had read some very good press about this one, and have to agree... would slate in the top couple of ST films, maybe only behind "Wrath of Khan" for SSB. Great, complex villian... :)

SSB likes great, complex, villians! :) :) :)
