Questions for those of you who have Temp-tations pieces from QVC...

I've had my eyeball on the Temp-taions pieces from QVC for quite a while now but have not purchases any yet. I have a few questions though.

Right now I own a lot of Pfaltzgraff (Folk Art design). I use the dinner plates everyday along with the small bowls for stuff like cereal, soup, ice cream, etc. But then I have a pretty big hutch in my kitchen with a bunch of Pfaltzgraff accessories (soup toureen, pitcher, S&P shakers, gravy boat, bowl set, honey pot, etc that I don't really use, it's more of a display) Quite a few of these pieces have those little "cracks" in them, I think I've heard people call it "crazing" or something like that. Do the Temp-tations do the same thing?

I'm thinking of getting rid of all my Pfaltzgraff and replace it with some Temp-tations pieces. I don't think I'll go all out like I did with the Pfaltzgraff. I don't plan on getting the dinner ware. But I would like to get a few sets of the bakeware.

Also, some of the pieces come with a wire rack (which I like) For the sets that have like 3 pieces that have those racks, can you stack those pieces with the racks inside of each other?

Which are your favorite pieces? Are there any that you don't suggest getting? And what color do you have? I'm thinking of getting the black. I like the other colors but I couldn't really decide which one to get. Right now my kitchen has green walls but I didn't want to get green in case I change my kitchen color to blue or red or yellow or whatever one day. I figure if I get black, it'd go with any color.

I have tempatIons old world in brown and I really really like it! I have had the rectangular set since Christmas 2010 and I use it daily, wash in the dishwasher and I do not have any cracks. This set does stack with the racks and trivets in the bottom. this christmas I got a round and oval set with all the trays/lids and those are harder to stack all together. I use them for everything though and they are so pretty.

So you can put the larger piece in it's rack, then stack the next size pan w/rack inside the larger one?

Why is it harder to stack the round & oval sets?

I have some in the blue and yellow pattern (match my kitchen), just serving pieces -- 2-quart server, 1-qt server, oblong server. I have a lazy-susan and pitcher, too. I love how it matches my kitchen.

I have had some quality issues -- a couple of chips early on, what looks like a rust spot coming through the the white, and the lid for the oblong server broke (my bad, because I had it in a 350-degree oven as a cover -- thought it would handle it).

I, too, have a very old Pfaltzgraff pattern (blue poetry) and was considering the temptations.

I bought a set of the temptations old world style in blue...they sort of match my pfalzgraff orleans pattern...anyway, I really like them, and haven't had any issues. I also thought they looked nicer when I received them, than how they looked on tv.

Yes, they stack with the racks. The round and oval sets stack just the same but they came with ceramic lids/trays instead of trivits so you have to put those somewhere else. (with the tray as a lid the won't stack and they trays stacked, you can't put anything on top). I hope that makes sense, I like to keep the pieces together.

The rectangular sets had glass trivets that fit in the bottom of the rack and all stacked together.

My sister has the red polka dot one. I was carrying it at Christmas and it fell out of my hand. All I could think about was that I was going to have to replace. When I picked it up it was fine. Boy was I surprised.

They are heavy but if you have Pfaltzgraff then you are used to weighty pieces.

I love my temptations! They are very easy to clean and store
