We are leaving for the world hopefully on March 17th. My youngest son is 2 and is GJ tube fed, has several repaired heart defects. One of his medications causes him to sunburn easily, so I know that we would stop at guest assistance for that, but I guess I am not sure which rides you are standing outside in the sun and how that works. My other question is more a what would you do, as I don't want to feel I am taking advantage of the system. He is very small for 2 and is laid back, he does tire out walking long distances more than likely due to his heart and fluid back up in his lungs. Usually I carry him, but I don't know if I can in the long lines. I suppose I could trade off with my husband, but would you talk to guest assistance to keep the stroller in line?
Thanks

yes, you can talk to guest services and get a "stroller as wheelchair" GAC, which would allow you to keep the strollers in lines and attractions. also, there are almost no queues outdoors, but there is also a LOT of walking between attractions and waiting for parades, etc... i would make sure you have a stroller with a sunshade/canopy, for his protection...

Absolutely use the stroller and get a Stroller as wheelchair GAC. and use something to cover the stroller with for Sun protection. It will be much better for him than being carried in the hot sun and there is no way to avoid that as the distances between things is significant not just the lines. A GAC to avoid sun is fine and I get one, I am allergic to Sun light, but there are few opportunities where that actually helps.

You are not taking advantage, taking advantage of what it does not get you in sooner or anything, this is exactly why GACs are there in the first place.

Hi and :welcome: to disABILITIES!

If you have not done so yet, if you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information. Post #6 deals with the Guest Assistance Card.
