Going down in late October 2006 - early November 2006 with lots of family members....I need to know what building to ask for that is closest to the main building as we will only have one car which will not transport everyone, and would like to be close to the buses and pool and Olivia's. Please let me know what building(s) are closest to the main one.....Thanks in advance!

The buildings closest to HH would be 11-14, 62-64, 15-18, 23-26. All of those are within about 200 yards. There are many buildings close to a bus stop and every bus goes to HH- so access to that area is easy from all areas of the resort. From the furthest building, ou can walk to HH within about 10 minutes too.

I'd just request "close to HH" when making your reservation.

The water way on the right of buildings 27, 28, 29, 45, 46, etc, is that the Sassagoula?

When we stayed at POFQ back in 03, we rented a mouse boat and went down the Sassagoula and really liked the buildings in that area. I'd like to beable to request one of those buildings.

Thanks!

That is called the Trumbo Canal at OKW - the Sassagoula joins it near the Treehouse Villas on the way to SSR/DD. Same body of water- just different names to distinguish the area it serves. Yes, you can request one of the buildings along the canal.

Thanks Doc!

What does "H.A." mean in the diagram above? Also, the building's without any denotations, IE they aren't designated smoking, H.A., etc, is that because their "status" is unknown or are they just a "general" building?

Sorry for the barage of questions, we're placing our reservations tomorrow and I'd like to know what buildings that we would be happy with, along with non-smoking and hopefully a top level (3rd floor I believe?) for requests.

HA likely means Handicapped Accessible.

You know, I was just laying in bed and that popped into my head.

I had to get out of bed and check to see if anyone had replied ;)

Yes, HA is Handicap Accessible and all of those are on the ground floor, as only buildings 62, 63 and 64 have elevators.

The "un-designated" buildings are all non-smoking. There are only 3 buildings that are "smoking optional" - 12,19 and 41.
