Questions concerning entertainment books

I've already booked 6 nights at the RPR which included a waterview room for $188/night including tax and 2 adult tickets. (was called the "2 Tick Promotion") When I called back 2 months later to add on one additional day, they could not give me the "promotional rate" of $188/night. I had to book that last night at rack rate-$229 + tax. I was wondering if it would be worth me buying an entertainment book to see if I could get that last night at entertainment rate. I'm not sure how to go about doing this for I've tried looking into this before and got confused. Do I buy the entertainment book for my state(PA) and if so, would it be good to use on the RPR which is in FLA? How do I know that they'd even have a waterview room available at the entertainment rate before I go and spend the money. Any help would be appreciated.

You do not need the Entertainment Card before you make the reservation. Call to see if the Entertainment Rate is available for the date you need. If yes, make the reservation. Once you've made a reservation using the Entertainment Rate, order an Entertainment Book for your area. That's it. Very simple. They may not ask to see your Entertainment Card, but I wouldn't take a chance. Besides, you can use the Entertainment Book for lots of restaurants and events in your area.

Or if there isn't one for your area that you would actually use - buy the Orlando book. That's what I did and I plan to use a few of the restaurant coupons. They don't care which book you buy for the room discount.

Bummed!! Just called the RPR and they said they are totally booked for that room with the entertainment rate. I kept pushing and asking questions but couldn't help me get a lower rate. She did say I could keep calling back for cancellations do happen. Her computer wouldn't even show an entertainment rate for a suite. Just wanted to check out of curiosity. I will keep calling till June 20th. She said I could even ask when checking in. By the way, if I would purchase the Orlando entertainment book, what coupons, if any, is there to use in US/IOA and Disney? Thank you to all for your input.

I'm not sure which number you called, but I have had good luck booking the Entertainment Rate at 1-800-23-loews. It might be worth a try.

Bummed again!! Called to 1-800-loews and they gave me the same sad story. Thanks for the advice though. I will keep calling!!!

Don't give up, keep calling! You never know, rates become available all the time. Call every couple of days.

Ordered the entertainment book for my area. I will have it just in case and I will call every so many days. Hopefully, I can post some good news. Thanks for the encouragement.

Just curious Disney Debbie, are there good restaurant coupons in the Orlando Entertainment Book? I already have an entertainment card thru travelers advantage but was thinking it may be worth it to get the Orlando Entertainment Book for the coupons. Thanks!
