I'm actually surprised at how many different rooms there are that have a view of the castle. Am I correct that these are either woods or standard view rooms?
Does anyone know which room category has more of these rooms?

In my request I would say North Side, MK View, Highest Floor possible.
Woods View: Overlooking the Outer Pond. Any other woods view options that have a view of the Castle?

Our trip would be December 08 Value Season, does WL get really packed then and lesson my chances of my request drastically?

Will the CRO give my trouble with requesting because they don't have official views of MK?

We just stayed in the Vice Presidential suite at WL and I was SHOCKED at the gorgeous large view of the castle from our hallway. It was just north of our room. Unbelieveable! The castle was way closer than the Theme Park view I had at the Poly! We couldn't see the castle from our room (at the WL) however.

Woods view is the best. That is what I always get. The rooms right by and to the right of the elevator give a good shot through the trees.

Ok, thanks so much for this! The elevators are important to us as well because I'm in a wheelchair but will be just fine in a regular room. I wonder if I should put the elevator note as well. 5th or 6th floor correct? I wonder how many of these rooms there are.

I think that there are more woods view rooms than standard view rooms, but I think that you could get a view of the castle and Wishes in either type.

I paid for woods view and requested a room on the north side, 5th floor. We ended up with a room on the north side on the third floor. We could see fireworks through the trees, and we were quite satisfied with this view. We couldn't see the castle, but we could see the monorail during the day and Wishes at night. This was very entertaining to DDs.

Of the three types of rooms (excluding suites and concierge), courtyard view is the only one where you have no chance of seeing the MK. There are standard and woods view rooms on the other side of the WL, but they face the VWL.

I think that the less specific that you are, the better your chances. And I wouldn't say MK view.

Have a great trip!
