Just wondering if anyone out there had ever bought the DVD version of "White Christmas" and thought if it was worth it. We have the VHS version but I think the Rosemary Clooney information would be interesting. Too bad none of the others are still alive to add their two cents as well.

Thanks for letting me know.

Hi, Beast -

DH just bought me the DVD and I have gotten through some of it but not all yet. I haven't had time to watch the bonus features but I do think the quality of the DVD is much better than the VHS. Of course, this is my absolute favorite X-mas movie so I'm a little biased and would want any and all versions. If I get a chance to watch more of the extra stuff soon, I'll let you know. :D

The quality alone is reason enough if you are a fan of this movie.

The movie contains some rather vivid colors, and the DVD captures these much better than the VHS version. Also, the DVD will not deteriorate with each viewing, as the VHS will.

I don't even remember if I looked at the bonus features, but I LOVE this movie so I bought the DVD last year. The quality alone is worth it--and easy to skip the few dull parts.

I have this DVD on my Christmas list. I sure hope I get it! :)

My husband bought this for me. I am a huge White Christmas fan! I'ts my favorite movie!:D

I enjoyed the bonus material. There is an option to watch the movie while Rosemary Clooney provides commentary (voice over). I had never watched something like that before. I thought it would be anoying, but it was very interesting! She tell many inside stories of what was happening whern certain scenes were filmed, etc.

I give it a BIG thumbs up! :teeth:
