I made a reservation at Boardwalk for a garden view room because by the time I could make a reservation with my newly bought contract, all the standard view rooms were gone (1 Bedroom).
I did not wait-list a standard view 1BR because I was afraid that the NEW reservation would be made BEFORE my current reservation was removed, meaning that 2022 points would be used and borrowed, not allowing them to ever be returned to their original use year. Is this how wait lists work? Do people borrow future points and then (potentially) bank current UY points when they make and have a wait list fulfilled?
If so, my accommodations are worth more than the current 50% restrictions and wait-listing would do me no good because I could never borrow enough points.
Or is the current reservation cancelled and current points used to book the new reservation? Should I drop everything and wait-list a standard BWV 1BR in the hopes that it will become available prior to our WDW trip? The view will mean little to me, as I am looking at park intensive days for our BWV stay.
If I did not phrase my question in a coherent manner, I am sorry. Hopefully you will get what I am asking...
