Questions about using rollator at Disneyland

I’m one of those folks who can walk fine but can’t stand for very long without pain (and flaring up terrible chronic pain for the rest of my trip), so I’m considering a rollator for my trip to Disneyland. It’s just my autistic 5yo & I. Any kind of chair wouldn’t work for us, he would not be able handle not riding on it with me. A rollator may not work either as I frequently need to hold his hand, but I absolutely need to be able to sit if standing or slow shuffling for more than 15-20 minutes, so here we are.

I have questions!
What happens with one’s rollator while they ride a ride? If your stuff is it in - is it safe while you ride or do you move your purse/backpack from the rollator to the ride with you?

If someone thinks having a seat in line looks nice and walks off with your rollator - will CMs help you get it back? I was thinking of sticking an AirTag on it, but don’t personally want to get in an altercation with the kind of person who would do that, especially with my kid in tow.

What about rides where you disembark in a new place? Will a rollator fit on the monorail? Disneyland Railroad? We are hoping we’ll be able to utilize those to cut down on steps & the overwhelm of moving through crowds. (Yes I know about closures)

I’ve thought about a cane chair too…but since I don’t use a cane to walk, it seems annoying to have this bulky thing I have to carry in my hand everywhere I go. At least with the rollator, I could push my kid on it if he’s have a really hard time.

Disneyland local and visit with my Mom in a wheelchair. I can answer a lot of the questions.

At rides, the cast member will take the rollator when you board and it will be kept with all other mobility devices when others are riding. It will be at the exit when you come off whether that is where you boarded or not. I have never had any issues with anyone trying to walk off with our wheelchair. Depending on the stalls available in a bathroom, I have frequently parked it outside the door of the stall and kept an eye on it through the crack. No one ever has tried to mess with it.

The rollator will absolutely fit on the railroad or monorail, but will have to be folded. Please note with the train, the Main Street station only has stairs and New Orleans square station is currently closed so may not help as much as you want. My mom loves riding the train but I find it useless right now unless we make a full circle tour.

Finally, please never push your child on the rollator. It is not safe for you or him. If you hit a bump it could tilt forward and both of you could get very hurt.
