Questions About Trip 2/27-3/5/19

Hi! My family of 5 is booked at the Tropicana Inn for 6 nights from 2/27-3/5/19, and we are getting a 5-day hopper so that we can go to the parks Thursday-Monday.

We had originally planned on making the following reservations:

Friday 3/1 Blue Bayou
Sat 3/2 Fantasmic Premium View at River Belle Terrace
Sunday 3/3 World of Color Dessert Party
Monday 3/4 Character Breakfast at Storyteller’s Cafe

How likely are we to be able to get these reservations before they sell out? Do the dessert parties and Fantasmic premium packages book up relatively quickly?

I know I can’t book anything until 60 days prior to our trip, but is there anything I can do to increase my chances for getting the reservations I want? Is it better to use the app or call?

Also, any suggestions for anything cool we should book for Thursday?

I do not think you will have any trouble calling on your 60 day mark for reservations. The reservations at Disneyland are way less stressful than Disneyworld!

We have booked twice for the Fantasmic Dining package at Hungry Bear and both times waited until 3 weeks before. We prefer the Hungry Bear seating for Fantasmic .

The Character Breakfast at Storytellers was amazing! Great interactions and the food was yummy! We had a total of 9 in our party, some teenagers, some adults and two littles, ages 5 ad 3, all the characters took plenty of time at our table interacting and tons of photos.

I'd call at 60 days, 7am pacific for premium Riverbelle F! & Woc dessert. The others are less competitive and can be done online.

For the "most important" and harder reservations, I tend to call right around the 60-day mark. For my family, that's our dining experiences--F! specifically. Other things, like Cafe Orleans for an off-time lunch, I'll wait until much closer to book. I do my basic ressies on the app, and the dining experiences over the phone to avoid any confusion for what I want.
