We are planning our trip from 8/23-9/4 and are going to SW, we were thinking about possibly doing the Adventure Express?

The reserved seating for the shows are the seats up front, I know they are center but are they front rows?? My kids will want to be close and get very wet!

Is it better to feed the dolphins this way then trying to get up to them for the dolphin feeding?

Are the front of the line passes good all day or just once?

I have done the Adventure Express tour twice now.

The reserved seats are for the Shamu show, as well as the Clyde & Seamore show. Although they are in the center, they are NOT in the front rows. They are midway up in both cases. In the Shamu Stadium, they are not in the "Splash Zone".

As far as being better to feed the dolphins, about the only advantage you get is that the tour guide goes & gets the food for you; otherwise, you don't really get any 'special' area to stand in and feed them. You're along the wall, fighting for space, just like everyone else, to feed the dolphins, as well as the sea lions, and the stingrays.

The tour allows you front of the line access to Kraken & Atlantis, but ONLY during the tour, with your tour guide. When the tour is over, you don't get any more FOTL access.

With all this said, we really enjoyed the tours, both times we did them. The tour guide is usually a very-educated young person who has really studied the animals and knows their behaviors; we learned SO much on our tours. Although we only got to ride Kraken & Atlantis once, it was nice bypassing the HUGE line (we went in August) and going to the front.

You are provided a bottle of water at the beginning of the tour, and you get a boxed lunch at lunchtime.

Hope this information helps.

Thanks so much for the info, that was very detailed and I LOVED it. Thanks for taking the time. My sister and I are both going in August, weeks apart from each other though and we were both wondering about this tour if it's worth it. I think we may try it, even for 1 day cause we will get the 2nd day free anyway. This is our first time there and I think it would help alot and I am actually looking forward to seeing the penguins too!

Thanks!

And it dawned on me later, just because the 'reserved' seats for Shamu are NOT in the Splash Zone, doesn't mean your kids can't do down and sit up front! NOT alot of people sit in the Splash Zone (for obvious reasons - duh!), so they shouldn't have any problems securing some seats...they don't HAVE to sit with you...!
