Questions about split stay.

We were all set on WL and then I kept reading on Dis how wonderful Poly is.. So I split our stay we will be staying 3 nights at WL and 3 nights at Poly. My travel agent was on the phone with Disney and asked if they will transport our luggage and they said no because we are driving. That's okay, but I'm wondering will it be a major hassle getting into our new room in the middle of our stay? Or is this a problem at all because they will hold our luggage until the room is ready. So to anyone who has ever done this will you please let me know how difficult this is. I didn't know any other way to enjoy both of these wonderful resorts being that I'm not a patient person. Thanks for any input.

Do you mean they won't transfer you're luggage between resorts? I talked DH into splitting our stay in November after i assured him we wouldn't have to move our luggage.

Yeah they said since we were driving that they wouldn't transfer our luggage over to Poly. That's how I also convinced DH to split our stay. I broke the news to him and he's okay with it . I'm just hoping we don't loose alot of time changing over resorts.

Disney has always transferred our luggage from resort to resort....
They never not once asked us if we were driving or not...
I wonder if this is a new thing...hmmmmmm?

We always split our stay. Last time was from AKL to the Poly.

Disney will gladly move your luggage. The only issue to worry about is that they cannot guarantee when in the day it will be there. We have always found our luggage to be there by late morning/early afternoon. It really is no hassle. They pick your luggage up at your room. Next time you see it, it is in your new room.

Splitting your stay on a short vacation could be a little hectic. We usually use it as a down day. We get up late, check out and have breakfast at the first resort. We check in to the second resort around 11 or 12 and then spend the afternoon in the pool, unpacking and checking out the resort.

Maybe the CM or my travel agent misunderstood the question. I thought I had read on here that they transfer the luggage. So I'll check in to that. Thanks for your help. I was thinking can we go ahead and check in early at Poly and use the pool then? That might make for a good pool day and then we can go over to Mk of Epcot later. Thanks for your help.
