I am a obsessive planner - our trip is scheduled for January 2007. But I love doing this - dreaming about how we (husband, girls, ages 5 & 8, and I) will spend our time at Disney. And I love reading all your wonderfully informative trip reports.

Of all the Forums, I've really enjoyed this one - so I decided to join.

For those who have stayed at Sequoia, I would really appreciate any answers you could provide to my questions:

1) Air conditioning - I live in Singapore where it is hot all year round. When they say the Sequoia has air conditioning, does this mean heating as well? ie. we can control how hot or how cold the room is?

2) Tea Making Facilities/Kettles - have not managed to figure out this one. Is there a kettle in the rooms?

3) Rooms in Main Building: is there a difference in size/facilities of the lake-facing rooms and the non-lake facing rooms?

Many thanks!

Welcome to the DIS julyn!! :wave2:

Yes - as long as it's working!!! Seriously we were able to change the temperature quite easily - from nice and cool to toasty warm when we came back all wet!!

2) Tea Making Facilities/Kettles - have not managed to figure out this one. Is there a kettle in the rooms?

It's not standard in the rooms, but you can get a kettle from reception - though you have to put down a refundable security deposit and you have to pay for your tea and coffee supplies.

3) Rooms in Main Building: is there a difference in size/facilities of the lake-facing rooms and the non-lake facing rooms?

Not in the main building - they should be all the same apart from the view.

Hope that helps. :)

Hi Julyn and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any thread or start a new one if you have a question :)

If you know when you are going then you can add your holiday here and add yours and your families birthdays here :goodvibes

Welcome to the boards.

We have stayed at SL twice now and would choose this over Newport Bay and Hotel New York every time.

We have never been asked to leave a deposit for a kettle - just ask for one at check in and housekeeping will deliver it. You can buy packs containing two paper cups, teabags, coffee sachets and milk cartons from the concierge desk for around 6 euros.
