Questions about SAB

Staying at BC in Aug, wondering about SAB, most posts I've read, people love it but others are not crazy about it due to the size, etc, harder to watch you kids. Opinions?

My kids are 12,10 and 4.

And are there lifejackets available (like at the water parks?)

They have life jackets there you can use. I like SAB but do think its alittle over rated. I wouldnt stay there just for the pool, but thats me.
It is spread out and my boys are 9 and 4 so they cant always swim the same area. Its easier for me if my DH swims with the other one and does the water slide and I stay with the younger one.

They also do some fun beach activities there and have the movies at night on the Beach which is very cool.

My kids are 12 and 6, so when we play at SAB DH and I split up to watch them. He's happy sitting in the sand bottom pool watching our little one, and the elder and I enjoy the slide and the waterfalls. We've never had a problem keeping track of our kids there.

We've stayed at the Y&B a few times and the pool or canal is different. It's more of a meandering creek, some sand bottom that twists around the property with different pools here and there, sinking sands, whirpool, shallow and deep spots all with a current, terrific slide but what we do not like, since it serves 2 resorts, tends to be way over crowded, snagging a table or chaise near immpossible and even though its a sprawling waterway, rather closed in with seating in just a few areas. Childrens area is fantastic, sand and water to play in but overall too crowded, everyone wants to swim and stay there. we've moved on from the resort and the chair and table savers to other resorts, maybe in off peak seasons its better but when the heck are those.
