I've read that Beach Club resort guest are given wristbands when they enter SAB. There will be 4 of us staying in a room. Can we bring one room key for all of us to get the wristbands? Or does everyone in the room have to bring a separate key to get the wristband? What about children? Our 5 year old will not have a room key. I appreciate any info I can get regarding entrance to SAB.

I believe it depends on how busy they are on any given day. We have showed one room key for all of us in the past to get the wristbands (as we do not always all carry around our keys) but I have heard them ask everyone to show their room ID before as well.

My understanding is that everyone in your party will have to show a room key in order to get the wristband - small children included.

Your 5-year-old will get a key, by the way. Of course, you don't have to give it to him, but a key is made up for everyone on the reservation.

For our stay this past June, we all (myself, DH,DD,DD)had to show a room key to get our wristband and towel.

We've needed to show all our room keys. Unfortunately I know of a family who regularly books one room at BCV's for an extended local family and all of them pass room keys back and forth to each other to get all their group into the pool. I wish there was a way to prevent such abuse as it hurts other guests. Showing one key per person really doesn't do much good to verify that you're a resort guest if one person leaves the area with four keys after one group gets in and then returns with three more at a time, etc. Too bad they can't be swiped into a reader that only allows each key to be used one time per person per day.---Kathy

it depends on time of year, I think. when we were there last october, only my h had to show his, the kids didn't (can't remember if I showed mine, too) and I think that mostly had to do with towels.

We have gone the last few Dec.s when it has been quiet and we have always had to show keys for each member of the group. As always a lot depends on the CMs. :)

In October we were each asked to show our key and then given a wristband. This was the case each day we went.

When we have stayed at the BCV, all three of us had to show our personal room key to get the wrist band. And your five year old will need his/her room ID to get an EMH wristband at the parks. Every guest, aged three and older, is required to show his or her room ID to get the wristband for evening EMH.

Thanks to all of you for answering my question. In the past I had heard so many different opinions I didn't know what to expect. With a pool area as popular as SAB I'm glad they try to regulate who goes in or it would be too crowded to enjoy. I can't wait until May 2008...we'll be doing the 4 day land / 3 day sea package...staying at the Beach Club. :cheer2: I've never been to the Beach Club before, and I'm really excited.

When we stayed there, the adults had to show a key but they let the kids in without one as long as the adult was right there with them. I think a lot of it depends on how busy they are. Crowded days are going to be stricter than slow days.

As others have said, your 5 y/o will have a room key with his name imprinted. It's a great scrapbook souvenir! :goodvibes

You're going to love it! We've had varying experiences with having to show room IDs for everyone, but on our very first visit to SAB back in 2005 we were asked for all 5 in my family - we only had one and the CM said it was cool and ever since we've always brought all IDs - sometimes we've been asked, other times not. Better safe than sorry though.

Enjoy!

We were there 7/23-8/3. VERY crowded. We never brought more than one key with us. Maybe because the key had our dining plan info on it (3 adults 1 child), we were never asked to produce a key for everyone.

We were there July 29-Aug.4 & swam everyday.

We only needed to show one room key for me, DH, DD, & DS to get wristbands.
