We are staying at the WL in January and staying in a standard room. We would like a queen/bunk bed combo but I have been told that the standard rooms no longer have bunk beds. Is this correct? Thanks!

When i stayed at the wilderness lodge last august i was in a room with a queen bed and a bunk bed...i can't remember if it was called a standard room...just call ahead and ASK for a room with a bunkbed (we did they where very accomadating)

Queen/Bunks are No longer available in standard rooms. You have to upgrade to a woods or courtyard view. Even if you upgrade and request the Q/B you are not guarnateed to get them. Depends on availablility. Plan accordingly.

I agree with Troy08 - be prepared for two queens. Bunks are not always given. We wanted bunks and didn't get them (at AKL), and we stayed at that resort primarily just to get the bunk beds! Lesson learned. Next time, we will stay at a deluxe with a daybed, or bring an air matress!!

Hi, we stayed at WL from 7/20--7/23 and when I made my reservation, I requested a bunk bed room. I knew that there was a chance that we wouldn't get it, but I just waited til we got there..When I checked in I told the clerk that I had requested a bunk room and at first she hestitated about saying anything, but I then said that I had a boy and girl grandchildren which we did a 10 yr old and a 12 yr old.. We checked in early in the morning and I knew that the rooms would not be available, which wasn't a factor because we were going to hit the parks, but we got a bunk room and it was almost right over the check-in desk.. The view wasn't the greatest out of the sliding doors but we weren't there to see much.. All in all it was a beautiful lodge.. Would I stay there again you bet..
I knew that there was a good chance that we would not get a bunk room because we were checking in on Thursday morning, but they had one.. Good Luck on your choice.. :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

We requested a bunk bed on our last visit in June 2004 and arrived on a Wednesday. We were told at check in that there wasn't a bunk bed room available for our first night, but we could change rooms to get the bunk bed the next day. We just didn't unpack our things and moved so we could have the bunk beds. :earsgirl:
