Hi guys,

This is my first time posting over on this side - we did a cruise a few months ago and are hooked! We are booked again for Feb 27, 2017 and considering tacking on a day at WDW in advance of our cruise this time. I know that will never be enough time to see it all, and frankly, I am not sure we want to at this point. Our kids will be 5 and 3, so young and impatient. We were thinking of flying in on Thursday, Feb 25 (flight would get in between 5 and 730 pm) and then taking the Magic Express to stay at the Poly or AKL. A few questions:

- We would like to keep costs low, since this is an add-on to our cruise. The pricing for a Deluxe Villa is better, what is the difference?
- If we get in at 5 and are at the resort by 7, could we do the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show? What time does it start? Do kids love it? Is it difficult to get an 800 reservation?
- What time does the character breakfast start? Again, is it hard to get a reservation?
- If we decide not to do Magic Kingdom, is there enough to do at this resort to entertain a 3 and 5 year old? If we only go to Magic Kingdom for 4 hours, will it be worth it?
- The website lists a dining cruise with fireworks - is that to see the Fireworks Display at Magic Kingdom? Is it pricy? Difficult to book? Kid-friendly?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

A deluxe Villa is a studio room in the Disney Vacation Timeshare inventory. Disney rents a small percentage of these rooms to non owners. The major differences are that you will have only1 real bed - a Queen. There is also a double size pull out sleep sofa. The unit also has a kiitchenette with a small bar sink, under counter refrigerator, a microwave, coffee maker and toaster.
ADR's (Advanced Dining REservations) can be made 180 days before check in. If you book right at the 180 day mark most restaurants are available to youl
If you land at 5 I would not plan on doint the Spirit of Aloha dinner show, I don't think you have time to make it without a lot of stress and worry. Travel delays are common and not in your control. Plus travel day is very tiring.
Chef Mickey's breakfast with the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto) starts at 7 AM. "Ohana's breakfast starts at 8 I believe. Again if you make ADR's as soon as they become available you should be fine
Good Luck

Given the current pricing for one day Magic Kingdom tickets ($105 per adult, $99 per child, plus tax) I would have to say that 4 hours there is definitely not worth it. You could always take a ride on the monorail, go to the pool, etc.

I believe the dinner cruise you refer to may be the one that leaves from the Grand Floridian, and it is quite expensive.

There are multiple character breakfasts outside of the parks. If you book at the 180 day mark, it shouldn't be hard to get. The breakfast at the Poly is served family style with Lilo & Stitch. If you ride the monorail to the Contemporary, chef mickeys has a breakfast buffet with the main characters. More options as well, just depends what you want.

Does your cruise leave on Fri or Sat? If it leaves on Sat and you can spend a full day at MK (why only 4 hours?), I'd say go for it. Otherwise, there's plenty to do at either resort, although swimming in Feb can be iffy. I'd go with AKL so you can view the animals. We love the restaurants at AKL/AKV- Boma is our absolute favorite buffet, although there aren't any characters. If you stay at the Poly, you can take the monorail and walk around (and eat at) the GF and the Contemporary. I wouldn't chance doing SOA because if your flight gets delayed, you're out the money. I'd wait until your kids are older anyway.
