Questions about renewing AP

Our APs expire on 11/12. Does Disney send any kind of notification or renewal notice? I haven't seen anything via mail or email yet.

Second question - We have Deluxe passes. What kind of renewal discount does Disney offer?

Thanks.

My renewal date isn't quite here this year, so I don't know if things have changed. In past years, I have received a renewal reminder in the regular mail around 30 days before my expiration date. Also, if you are within 40 days of your expiration date and you log on to your account on the AP website, then you should be able to renew online. You can also renew in-person.

I think the renewal discount for the deluxe is currently $40.

If you register your APs on disneyland.com/ap you can renew online now or at least in a few days. It's 40 or 45 days, so you should be in the window. The discount isn't based on what pass you have, it's based on what you're buying. I think the most recent was $40, $30, $20, $10 going from premium down to So Cal select (Maybe $60, $40, $20, $10, I know it changed twice recently, but I can't remember which was the most recent). So it would be $30 (maybe $40) if you renewed to deluxe. They send a postcard reminder, one per household, but sometimes I miss it. If you are going to the parks you can also renew at the ticket booths or you can call the AP number and renew by phone.

Thanks!

This is the first time we've had AP's, so we're new to the process. We may just wait to renew when we go down for our next trip, Nov. 6th through 10th.

We've been very happy with the passes. Even though we can't go as much as we'd like to, this next trip will make 14 days in the parks since we got them.

When will you be going again after the November trip? It might be better to let your passes lapse and then buy new ones on your next trip. For example, if you're not going again until January, that $40 discount is less money than 2 months of a deluxe pass going unused. Plus you'd then get from January-January on your new pass, instead of basically January-November because you didn't use it for the first 2 months.

We never know when we'll go. It always depends on what sales Southwest is having.

I agree with figuring that out. The discount isn't that great that you keep the ap to keep the ap. Make sure it makes sense!
