My wife and i would like to try Remy. She will eat all the fancy foods, i dont care for them, im fine with a burger or steak, fries, potatoes. I dont like seafood. Would they do anything for me if we went if i tell them what i like at all? I dont mind going and having my wife eat, but just curious if they would do anything for people who dont like the fancy stuff. We do palo, and i get the steak and love it.

can anyone who has been help out?

thank you

Not sure how "off menu" they will go for you, but I know you will be able to avoid seafood for sure. A lot of people either don't care for it, or are allergic, and they don't have any problem making adjustments. The menu has a wide range of items, but you won't find a burger on it. If you tell them that beef is your favorite protein and is one of the only things you like, they will do their best to accommodate that. You may also get poultry, lamb, pasta, etc. to try - and they are all worth trying. The chefs prepare everything wonderfully, and perfectly seasoned. You may surprise yourself with what you enjoy. My advice is to not let the fancy foods scare you away. It is sure to be an excellent adventure, and you may be pleasantly surprised with what you wind up liking the most on the menu. Your wife will probably not be shy about eating your share of anything you don't like, but the kitchen will also generally bend over backwards to see that you have a fantastic meal. Enjoy it!

I am a picky eater but I went into Remy with an open mind. I was so pleasantly surprised. Its not about foods as much as it is about flavors and textures. It was amazing and I'm so glad I didn't let my fears scare me away from such a wonderful experience.

Agree with this whole heartedly.

The cheese course is amazing!

I'm very much like you in that I'm a picky eater (always look for the steak on most menus!) and don't care for seafood that much. We went because my husband wanted to, and it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. They will let you completely customize your menu, so if you don't want one item on a menu but want something different, they will absolutely bring it to you. I will also say, before Remy's, I had NEVER considered eating pigeon or quail. Not sure if they are still on the menu, but it was some of the most amazing food I had ever tasted.

I would absolutely say try it, the experience alone is worth it. Go in with an open mind and don't be afraid to taste something new. The portions are small, but there are a lot of courses. And if you do for some reason leave hungry...there's always room service!!

I talked to my waiter and explained that I don't really care for fish - but that might be in part because I live in a land-locked area, so if it's not fried, it tastes super fishy. He recommended I try the turbot (fish) course, but that he would steer me away from all other fish courses. I trusted him and was so glad I did. It was the first time, I had fish that didn't taste fishy and it was SPECTACULAR! I would recommend that you take the time to discuss your preferences with your server and be prepared to try something they recommend! (And he pigeon really does taste remarkably like chicken. :) )

I think everybody gave you a great opinion. Remy is excellent and though the experience is upscale it is not over the top and I promise you will not feel alienated by the food or the waiters. Try it you will not regret it !

I'm like you I hate seafood and I'm a picky eater. But remy was excellent. Tell your server you hate seafood and he/ she will recommended other dishes for you. When I went to remy I told my wife as we were heading there you know I will be getting pizza after this.
I really thought that was true. But remy was nothing but excellent. Everything was great
