does anybody know when PFF is going to actually start? and also the High School Musical Pep Rally is going to be in DCA... does anybody have any idea when that is going to start as well?

As for the PFF I heard its not going to happen now due to lack of "cleanly water system" in that area of the park or something like that. All I know is that the theature will definately have to have major plumbing revamp before the PFF can happen.

As for the High School Musical :confused3

OMG! A High Scool Musical rally??? My 7 year old niece will absolutely flip! Im not saying a word to her about it until it's official!!!

From the latest Mouseplanet.com update:

"...A new piece of street entertainment will be coming to DCA next month (probably beginning October 2) called "High School Musical Pep Rally." The details on what exactly this will be aren't clear. Though some rumors suggest it will replace Block Party Bash as DCA's Main Parade, this almost certainly isn't correct. Whatever it is, it will involve some kind of caravan moving along the parade route playing the popular songs from the Disney Channel's smash hit kid's movie High School Musical. Apparently the audience will be able to sing and dance along. Perhaps it will be a Rocky Horror Picture Show for tweeners. Since many of the dancers used for this show also perform in the Block Party Bash parade, it helps explain why, beginning September 8, a slimmed-down version of the parade will begin performing."

From Miceage.com:

"Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Not

Also in slight disarray is the Princess Fantasy Faire replacement for the Snow White show in Fantasyland. One of the main offerings at this new attraction was going to be the Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boutique, a Disney-fied version of Club Libby Lu makeovers that would turn ordinary little girls into full-fledged Disney Princesses compliments of Daddy's credit card. This same concept is already offered at the World of Disney out at Walt Disney World, and the makeover concept is so popular that reservations must be made weeks in advance for an appointment time. At Disneyland they were going to try it without reservations and just hope the high prices and the long line would weed out those customers who weren't fully dedicated to the cause.

Certainly the Stores department was salivating over the huge profits to be made off of all the dresses and accessories that would be purchased in addition to the cost of the makeover. But since this was an idea hatched at the last minute and fast-tracked to satisfy the marketing team, there were some logistical details overlooked, such as the Anaheim city codes that require beauty parlors to have both fresh water and sewer lines hooked up to the dozen sinks planned for the Boutique. Since no one ever thought to run city water or sewer lines to the bleacher section of Videopolis when it was quickly built back in 1985 using the US Festival stage, the hassle and time needed to install the infrastructure for a kiddy beauty parlor in the middle of the theater means the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has now been downgraded to a simple merchandise cart selling tiaras and sparkly shoes. Strike one for childhood decadence."

I wish the date on the HSM Pep Rally was definite. I heard about the Pep Rally a few weeks ago, but because no one seems to have a firm start date, I haven't told the DD's about it so as not to let them down if it wasn't going on during our visit. I have heard Oct 1 and I have heard Oct 2. :confused3
I love the thought of it being a Rocky Horror type experience for tweens. My girls have both the DVD and the CD play them endlessly. I had those songs stuck in my head for weeks!!!!

I keep waiting to hear more about the HM pep rally too. My kids would be thrilled if this was going on when we are there. Hopefully it will start showing up on the calendar soon.

I am pretty new to the H.S. Musical thing , but my daughter loves the movie and songs. I hope this happens . We'll be in DL Oct.23-29 and she will be delighted.

ok so that means the Boutique wont be there but the Fantasy Faire should still be...no need for clean water there...so Im wondering if thats going to be up and running before the new year :confused3

I have no idea. It will be really interesting to see what happens though. My theory is that it will happen, they will just put PFF "on hold" until the fresh water can be brough in, or that they will have it, you will just have to use the BBB cart to purchase your products. But that just sounds silly. Im sure that for something this big to kick off they will want everything running the way it should with the proper shops etc.

My little sister is obsessed with High School the Musical. I guess it's similar to my Nsync phase. :p I got her the soundtrack for her b-day and she listens to it ALL THE TIME! My parents said she drives them crazy with the CD & DVD. LOL! :rotfl:I know she would love to see the pep rally.

The Princess Faire is on the calendar during the first week or so of OCtober...
