Questions about pick up at MCO, also parking

I will need to go to the airport to pick up my MIL the day after we arrive. I'll have a rental car and planned to pick her up at "arrivals" but DH wants to go into the terminal to meet her. Does anyone know IF they allow this and how far into the terminal can we go (i.e., will we be allowed to take the shuttle train over to the actual departure areas, or will we have to wait in the main terminal where baggage claim, etc. is?)? Also, what is MCO's arrangement for short term parking? Will it cost a fortune?

You cannot go and meet the plane, you can, however, wait right outside the security area.

Short term parking rates are on the airport website.

The shuttle is inside security.

You will be able to go just until right before your get to security.

Parking is free for the first 30 mins. $2 an hr. after that.
