Questions about paying for LLMP & LLSP for a long trip

We are a party of 7 (6 adults & 1 child) going to WDW for a longer trip. Our estimated costs for both LLMP & LLSP will be over $1300. Does the MDE allow for split payments? I ask because a Disney gift card can hold a maximum of $1000. I'd like to use 2 gift cards to pay. Can this be done? Or do i need to make 2 separate purchases?

You will book for one day, pay for that day, book another day, pay for that day, etc. So you shouldn’t have trouble using 2 GCs since they’ll be applied in increments as you book each day.

@garris3404 just to add to the great info from @CarolynFH.

Since you cannot permanently store or save a Disney Gift Card as a saved payment method within the My Disney Experience you will need to enter your Gift Card numbers multiple times. I just use a notepad app on my smartphone to copy / past the GC number for the payment step for each day's purchases.

This is VERY important @garris3404 because if you type in the security code wrong a couple times Disney might lock your gift card and the funds will not be usable. Then you have to call Disney Gift Card, they verify it is your gift card, and hopefully it's all good then within 1-2 days later the funds will be unlocked.
