Questions about Parking at NYC terminal

We are on the Magic this October going from New York to Canada.

We live in Pennsylvania and will be driving to the port.

Has anyone ever parked at the terminal?

How close is the parking lot to the ship?

Is it a reasonable walk with luggage from the parking lot to the boat?

Is there an option to drop the luggage off closer to the port?

The parking lot is really close. Yes it's a reasonable walk with your luggage to the drop off point.

I did last October. I was lucky enough to park two spots from the elevator and there was a porter bringing disembarking passenger's luggage to their car that then took our luggage down for us. The problem with dropping off luggage downstairs and then parking at the terminal is that it is two separate ramps. After leaving your luggage with the porter, you would have to leave the terminal area and then drive all the way around back around to the parking ramp again, about six blocks total. If you go right to parking you can drop your luggage and family by the elevator that leads to the porters. It's right after the area where the dog sniffs your car. (Security ) and then park your car.
Also, on some occasions it has been reported that the ship will dock at a different terminal than the one you parked at. You might have to walk half a block, but again, if you have a lot of luggage, the porter will take it for you.
