I would really like to try Ohana during wishes when I am there for free dining.I am a little nervous and not sure how that dinner goes.I have allergies to tree nuts but I can have peanuts go figure .I know that type of food is made with a lot of nuts and I am not sure how they cook things.Second I see on the menu that they have shrimp skewers and I do not like seafood can u just skip that and get something else like more chicken ?Any help would be great. Thanks

Disney restaurants are really good about dietary restrictions. The chefs will work with you and steer you away from any food issues. And you don't have to eat shrimp, and you can have as much of anything served as you want.

Yes you can skip the shrimp. They walk around with big skewers of meat on them and you can get what you want. I know there is a better description than "big skewers" but my brain isn't working right now!! As far as the allergy... I know the chefs are very good with allergy. Our children have nut allergies but they usually eat of the kids menu. There is a number to call about allergies. Ask for it when you make your ressies. Good luck!

We've eaten at Ohana several times and my DD9 has nut allergies (walnuts, pecans and pistachios). She has had all the food there except the shrimp which she is also allergic to. The shrimp is brought around by a server with a long skewer, it's not just on the table the whole time. Actually all of the meat is brought around on skewers except for the sticky wings which are in a bowl on the table. You can just tell the server with each specific meat skewer whether or not you want it. It's one of our favorite meals. Do you have severe allergies in that you need to carry an epi-pen? If you tell Disney dining that you have allergies, they'll note it on all of your reservations. :goodvibes

We had NO issues at WDW, including Ohanas and we didn't even know about this allergy yet, so we weren't careful; that being said, he never really liked nuts anyway. But he is a peanut butter NUT. (peanuts aren't really nuts anyway, they are legumes, in the bean family)

Yes they are very severe I can even have a reaction to the oil on my skin.I have the same as your DD walnuts almonds and so on. I can not even touch them if i do the reaction is very quick to happen. Thanks for all the info guys. I am very excited to book this for our first night there to kick off the trip.

Do have it listed on your ressie and tell your server though, because they do put three different sauces on the table and 1 is nut based...I think the others are chimmichuri and sweet and sour. They are so you can dip the meats in them. Enjoy it!
