Questions about Nov/Dec trip

After all the hard work I put into planning our May vacation we have now decided to put it off till Thanksgiving so now Im having to replan everything. I'm thinking of planning the trip for Nov 23 - Dec 5 staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. When are the Christmas decorations put up in the parks? Also has anyone gone to more than one Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party during their stay? Is there anything else going on in this timeframe I should know about? Thanks for any help/info you can give me!

We (DW and DD) were at Disney late November of last year. DW was worried we would not be able to see all the parks and resorts all decorated, but not to worry. All the resorts already had there decorations up by the week before thanksgiving, and the MK would put a little more up each day. It was pretty cool to watch the transformation take place. The first day we got there and went to MK and they had some of them up, and by the time we left on thanksgiving day they were all up.

Other than the MVMCP, there is the 'Osbourne Family Festival of Lights' at MGM and it is free with paid admission to MGM. Other than that I think Downtown Disney has Santa Claus photos. Hope this helps.
