I'm not sure if this is exactly the right place to post this, but I am wondering about MNSSHP... I know that it takes place in the Magic Kingdom, but do they close the park down to everyone else? Because there is special fireworks and stuff.... I am trying to decide whether or not we should go? And to make sure that we don't plan to go there on a night that MK may be closed.. I think it would be about $100 for my family. I know that is not much when you are already at Disney :rotfl2: Just wondering how it works. I know that someone said that you get a special bracelet for rides..... Does this bump you infront of 'regular' riders? Anything that anyone can tell me woud be great!! Thanks!

The way it works is this:
The MAgic Kingdom will stop accepting guests at around 5 PM.You need a seperate ticket to enter after that point, although with your MNSSHP tix you can get in at 4 PM.If you enter after 4, you only need the MNSSHP, no regulat tix neccasary. After the park officially closes at 6, you can go to special locations and get a bracelet that shows you paid for the MNSSHP.You wont be able to ride anything if you dont.Betweem 6 and 7, parts of the park will be closed off to guests while they decorate for the party. Then at 7 you have access to the park again. There is no front of the line priveliges. There is free trick or treating for the kids an special halloween parade and halloween fireworks at night.

Magic Kingdom will give out special bracelets to those who have purchased the tix for this event. You will not be able to go on the rides unless you have the special bracelet on. It is so much fun when you trick or treating through the parks. My sister and I came back home with four bags of candy. Hope you go its soooo much fun

There's a MNSSHP thread right here on the boards with lots of info and chat about the event. Just click here

Also, click here to see the DIS MNSSHP page with prices, dates, details etc. We're going to it too. Just 150 days or so to go. Oooooh, almost there!! :lmao:

The park closes at 6:00p and the CMs do a pretty go job of getting the park ready and also clearing it out of non-party goers.

No, everyone who doesn't have a bracelet on leaves the park and those w/ the bracelets are led to a certain area in the park to wait until the rest of it opens w/ all the decor.

It truly is an amazing night and I STRONGLY encourage you to dress up and get into the spirit of things. We went as the Peter Pan family: dh Peter Pan, ds Captain Hook, dd Tinkerbelle and me as Wendy. We had so much fun. The chars, trick or treating oh and the special parade and fw were fantastic!!!! We can't wait to do it again in a few years. It really is the best!!!!

Can non party goers walk around and not ride the rides?

No , you will basically be "forced" out as they will not allow you to enter a new land without a bracelet.

Question: what are the park crowd levels like for Columbus weekend? We would probably look to arrive that Sunday and stay through October 11 in order to attend MNSSHP on October 10. Anyone have any experience with this holiday weekend?

Thanks!
