Questions about meeting "Spider-man"?

Just a couple of questions and I am sorry if they have been asked before and I sincerely thank anyone who answers!!!

Okay...where is the best place to meet him? Also, is the character a realistic Spider-man or some big giant-headed character that is obviously a "costume" like we have seen before with Jimmy Neutron, Dora, etc.? And finally, does Spider-man speak to you and if he does, does he sound at ALL like Toby Maguire because my 6-year-old is a stickler for detail, he loves the movies and he WILL notice! LOL.

The best meet and greet we ever had with Spiderman was during the earliest seating at the character breakfast at Confiscos. This was back in August, so the park was very crowded. However, since we had the earliest seating for the breakfast, there were only 6 other families in the restaurant. This gave us LOTS of personal face time with Spiderman. We didn't have to stand in line waiting, he came to us. And because the restaurant was so empty, we could take our time with pictures and autographs.

Spiderman did not speak to us. His costume was a fabric one that also covered his head, but not the "big head" type.

The other characters were Cat in the Hat, one other I can't remember, and Storm. Storm actually sat at our table with us for about 5 minutes and we had a nice conversation with her. It was rather fun.

I don't know if it was a fluke that the restaurant was so empty and we just happened to be at the right place at the right time, but I do know that as we were leaving, the restaurant was filling up rather quickly. So, if our experience is indicative of the earliest seating at Confisco, the best place for some quality time with Spiderman would be the early breakfast at Confisco's.

spiderman looks just like he does in the movie. they have a place over on marvel superheroes island across from the spiderman ride where you can have your pic taken with spidey. my 2 nephews (12 & 9) spotted him from across the street when we were there in june. there was no line so he came outside, posed for pics, signed their autograph books & even commented that he liked the 9 yr. old's spidey t-shirt. DEFINITELY MADE THEIR DAY!!

we also got to see him again later with the other superheroes after they paraded through superhero island on their 4 wheelers and split up around the island for pics & autographs.

Yep u usually always find spidey opp the rie at the super hero store hes pretty friendly as is capt america

Thank you Tinkerbelle and Highlander...I have not mentioned to my boys that they may meet Spiderman but I am getting SO excited for them because I know that they are going to be just thrilled. Thank you so much for the tips!

Tinkerbell, is it an official "parade" at a certain time or do you just have to be lucky to see them riding their four-wheelers?

it was a scheduled character greeting. check your park map info for the day. if you are in toon lagoon or superhero island you will hear the sirens on their four wheelers as they parade through superhero island before getting off and splitting up for autographs. have fun!

Here's Spidey with DNeph and me at the character breakfast - he was awesome, talked to us, crawled around on the tables - all in true Spidey style!! We also got a decent pic of DNeph with him at the photo spot across the street from the ride - it is set up in the back of one of the little stores - in August he was posing for pics at the entrance of IOA at opening and even held my little 5 mos old GrD for a picture
Note that Spidey and DNeph are shooting their webs, I, it seems, am confused and giving the sign for "I love you" (maybe I was under Spidey's spell ) !!

We just got back on Wednesday. Super heroes made entrances thru Marvel comic area on their 4 wheelers..just like the commercials right thru the streets and parked in front of Spiderman ride. Then they all got off and mingled and took pictures. There were announcers pointing where each one was standing to got pics and autographs. Seemed like it was around 11am and 2pm and 5pm...we just hapened to be in the area at those times.

We had great interaction with Spiderman and Wolverine at the Character Breakfast. They both spent a lot of time with us talking and stuff. Spiderman even took a picture of all of us with Wolverine!! He said that he did a little photography "on the side". They were the greatest! I thought Spiderman sounded like Toby McGuire. He also looked very much the Spiderman. He was small and thin and had that great costume. I looked real hard and I couldn't figure out how he could see or breathe! I am amazed that the picture he took came out at all!

Spiderman jumped on the back of my chair scaring me. Little DD took this picture. Spiderman was balancing on the BACK of my chair. I could feel the muscles in his legs straining!

Remember that there is a discount for AP holders ! We went at the end of the morning and it was also practically empty - saw the exact same Wolverine as maggiew - he posed for several pictures, Cat in the Hat came by, Things 1 & 2 were the other characters there that day and they spent a lot of time at our table causing trouble and playing around with us
