Questions about making a reservation if one of our guests is a CM

We are thinking about inviting friends with us in September. Debating on whether I should offer to book a 2BR which is available and have them stay with us or not.

Here are the questions:

If they stay with us on points, would we be able to get the dining discount also or is that only when the CM has a paid reservation with their discount?

Would them staying with us screw up us making plans with our magic bands as I'm not sure they get their tickets in advance, not sure????

Are there any other positives or negatives that I should think about?

This. No DDP discounts with DVC, only cash reservations, when available.

At the moment there is no way to add a Main Gate or CM Guest Passes onto MDE, hence why CMs have no access to sign up for FP+ right now. I would check with your friend for specifics.
