Questions about Jambo House

Hi fellow DVCers,
We will be staying at a studio at Jambo House in October. We are staying at a value. Can someone tell me what we can expect to see outside? Also, what is the laundry facility like? TIA.

If it is a dedicated I think you have a 50% chance of a savana view and 50% chance of a pool view. If it is a lock off you could get any view.

all the DVC rooms (except concierge rooms) in jambo house are on the 5th floor. so you will be on the 5th floor, where there is one laundry room (remember that 1BRs and up have washers and dryers in the rooms). i think there is also a pay laundry room on the 1st floor for AKL guests.

What do "dedicated" and "lock-off" mean?

lock-off means there is a door that "locks off" between that studio and a 1BR...the door can be unlocked for guests who have booked a 2BR villa.

dedicated means its just a studio.

There is a wonderful map of Jambo House here: http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-akv/floor5.php The Value rooms are on the Ostrich and Giraffe trails at the front (main entrance area) of AKL. Your room could have a view of the pool area, the Sunset Savanna or the parking lot.

There is a small laundry room next to room 5408 which is the first room on the right at the start of the Zebra trail. You will need to use your room keycard to open the door to the laundry room.
