Questions about iQuest

I'm a bit confused about the Leapfrog iQuest. I bought the iQuest for my DD. I also bought Mind Station. I see that they sell cartridges for certain topics (science, social studies). My questions are: does the iQuest have any information already installed on it (other than the PDA functions)? Do you download the info through mind station or cartridges or do you need both? Since I already bought the mind station do I need to buy those cartridges? Thank you!

The cartridges that you buy have a small sampling of questions for each chapter of the textbooks. You can then download chapter outlines and additional questions from the leap frog site using the Mind Station.


It's been a long time since I bought the cartridges, but I think I bought my son one of the silver cartridges for each subject. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't buy English. He hardly used that cartridge at all since his English courses center more on reading literature and writing papers. The Science and Math cartridges have been very helpful however.
