We're getting married around christmas at Disney and we were thinking of making Disney x-mas orniments for favors.

Does anyone have any suggestions or photos of any that they have made?
We are looking for any ideas.

What about glass etching? I've done it on clear glass balls. You can just put a sticker down, then smear the etching cream on, wait the recommended time, wipe off the cream. Then you have an ornament all frosted, with a clear spot of glass where your sticker was. I've done names and the year. It would be cute with a micky icon shape and your names, but it is time consuming, especially if your names are long!

simple and easy but nice ornaments:
Hope I can describe this...

Buy glass balls at Mike's or AC Moore. Buy DIsney rub on stickers.
buy DIsney pattern paper.
Several different types of ribbon to match the paper

Remove hanging part of the ball
cut paper into long stripes about 1/4 inch thick. Roll and then drop it into the ball. Keep adding paper till full, The paper will uncurl some. You can add a little tinsle for sparkle.

Gently rub the rub on to the outside of the glass.

Put top back on and the tie 2-3 pieces of ribbon on top!
And you are done!

Thats a great idea thanks - what would you recomend to use to personalize them?

I was going to suggest the same ornaments that Spinning did! They look really neat! For personalizing.....you could use rub-on letters, but again if your names are long that could take a while. Or - how about ordering ribbon with your name/date on them & just tie a piece on the hangers? We had a 50th wedding anniversary party for my ILs in April & my sister-in-law ordered some like that - she used it to tie up candy in netting for favors.

Oh - and here are links to some samples of the kind of ornament Spinning told you about:

You could if you had nice handwritting use a silver or gold shapie and write on it
or order the ribbon.
Piratemate thanks for the ling!

these are very easy to do too and they are soooo cute! maggie
