Questions about glasses, tips, etc

I've got so many questions about our trip next month I was hoping everyone could help me? Any help would be great and tips too.

I've read somewhere that you have to take your glasses off for some rides. Is that true and do they have lockers or somewhere safe to put them? I'm a little nervous about this,being I can not see without my glasses. What does everyone do?

We plan on driving to the parks in the morning and bringing a cooler with us. Can you bring a cooler in with you or leave in the car and come and go from the parks to parking whenever you wish?

Souvenior Cups I've read in couple posts, are those still available and how long are they good for?

There are some rides that they have lockers for you to stow away your stuff while you are on the ride. If a ride has them and you have no one not riding to hold your things, I recommend that you use them Example, DH lost his FAVORITE hat on Dudley's - I don't think they have lockers for that one, but then again, I don't know because I don't get on it and am the keeper of the stuff

Ones that I can remember with lockers are Hulk, MIB, Mummy, Bilge Rat Barges and IIRC Dueling Dragons.

Small soft sided coolers are ok - but do you really want to try and carry that around all day? I say go back to the car, eat, cool off, take a quick break and then go back to the parks.

Ahhhhhh - my favorite subject (well - one of them anyway ) Yes, there are several styles, sizes, etc of cups around the parks in the sotres, drink stands, etc. You pay anywhere from 5.99-7.99 for a souvenior cup and refill it all day long for pocket change - the cup is good forever. Yep, forever


Also be aware, if you have a AAA card, show it everywhere you shop. All the stores in both parks give a discount (most restaurants as well )

Great advice on the cooler I really didn't want to lug that thing all over. AWESOME on the cup! Really forever? So I could use that cup the whole duration of the trip (6days). . .. . oh my stars:

I wear glasses too but I honestly think it depends on your glasses.

If I were you, I would put the glasses on shake your head really fast and jump around a bit. If the glasses stay put, you'll be alright. If not, you might want to put them in your pocket (my first choice) or a locker for the duration of the ride.

The only rides I MIGHT take my glasses off are for Hulk & Dueling Dragons.. But I've worn them on there too.

Please don't pu them in your shirt pocket on rides or they will get lost, especially on the Mummy ride. I know it sounds rather touristy but get those straps that hold your glasses on. You can put the strap on before you ride and won't need to wear it on every ride but I would recommend it for Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Men in Black, and Mummy. Whenever I travel, I always bring a spare pair and keep it at the hotel. I'd hate to spend a vacation day at a mall optician replacing lost glasses.

I've had to do that.. Went to a Wal-Mart Supercenter.. but the glasses were actually damaged at a Hard Rock Live concert that got too rowdy. NEVER AGAIN.
