Questions about future trip

I am planning a short trip to Disney World the first week of December 2012. I know its way to early to have any specials released but I was wondering for you disney veterans if there "normally are any specials for this time".

Also since Ive never been during this time of year before is it normally packed with people during this time of year.

The week after Thansgiving/first week of December can be pretty good crowd-wise, especially, if you are comparing it to summer or actual holiday week crowds. And, in fact, that week used to be one of the slowest weeks of the entire year, but after that info made it into every Disney Planning Guide and onto every Disney Planning site on the World Wide Web, it's not quite as slow as it used to be - I guess you could say the secret is out! lol! Plus that's the week that the Pop Warner Cheerleading annual competition is and they pre-tape the ABC Christmas Day Parade that week, so the crowds are more moderate that week than slow. That week isn't even priced as value season anymore and was blacked out from the free dining promo last year. The third week of December is actually the cheapest and lowest crowd week of December. December 14 - 21 is usually really good. The crazy Christmas crowds start rolling in around the 22nd. Of course, the week of Christmas into New Year's is the most busy and expensive week of the year.
