Questions about FP+

As DL regulars, this is our first trip to WDW and want to make sure we get as much right in the planning stages as we can.

Can someone please check my understanding of how it works with regards to booking more after your first 3 have been used?

If we book a FP at 60days out and my Mum chooses not to ride with us (she sometimes does) or we miss our return time... will that still count towards the three or would you have to choose something else separately to make it count? I don't know if i'm explaining very well...

If we booked for example... 7DMT, Splash Mountain and Space Mountain for all of us and my Mum chose not to ride Space...would we all still be able to book new ones as a group or not?

Your party can make different FP+ choices. But when you make the original plans, they need to be in non-overlapping time frames. So even if you plan to do Splash as soon as your 1 pm time frame opens, you won't be able to book a second FP until 2, whether or not Mum uses her Splash FP.

And each reservation, used or not, counts towards your 3.

If your mom doesn't want to ride space, you can still get new FPs, but will have to wait until the window for that FP closes to get new ones.

Example: Space Mountain FPs are the last booked of the day, with a window of 12:30-1:30. You arrive at 12:30 to ride, and she doesn't want to go. You will need to wait until 1:30 to get new FPs.

Yes, you can book your next FP for the complete group.

For Space, when you tap the MBs at the tapstile, tap your Mother's MB too.

Then, you can schedule your group's FPs as soon as you get beyond the FP tapstile or when you step off the ride. Choose what is easiest for you. As soon as you enter your FP line, your return window closes. You do not have to wait until the end of the window.

If you miss a return window, use the app and choose a different ride and return time.
