Questions about flying with BA

Thanks to the DIS'er posting the link for the sale prices for BA....so weare thinking about flying with them and saving a few quid this year. (£300+ over Virgin).

The flight says it iwll be a 777. This is a 1" smaller seat pitch than VA's 747's. Can anyone offer a comparison between the 2 from their own experience?

Also, do BA do Twighlight Check In ?

Any other general opinions on BA would be appreciated.

Hi

From what I've seen, Virgin's average seat pitch in economy is 31 inches, the same as BA so I don't think you should see any difference.

We've always flown with Virgin to Orlando, but for our next trip we are using BA, partly down to cost, but also because Virgin seem to have had lots of delays from Gatwick over the past couple of years. We've flown with BA to New York and Vancouver a couple of times and have found them fine to fly with.

I think that they do run a twilight check in, as that was something that we looked for before booking the flights for our trip this October.

Thanks dstiles. We are going mid-September.

We booked BA, we just couldnt say no to that kind of discount and VA were not offering Miles-Plus-Money on the dates we have booked our DVC accomodation....so BA get our cash this year! And I have to say, we are looking forward to the change as we have flown with VA every year for the last 5 or more.

They do have twlight check in - I used in Jan, very easy and I am sure it is similar to Virgin.
