Questions about extended wish trip

Hello! I have learned so much from these threads so I want to say thanks so much for sharing info! My question is about my daughters Make-A-Wish trip in April. She wished to do a land & sea trip with Disney but our chapter only pays for the cruise or the trip to Disney. But they did allow us to extend the trip so that we could go to Disney too. Make-A-Wish is paying for the flight to Orlando and her cruise, & we will be paying for the hotel in Orlando and any attraction tickets. Make-A-Wish will then pay for our return flight. Our daughter has never been to Disney or on a cruise and we may never get the chance again - so we are going to do it all while we can! My question is that since this is her Wish trip, will we be able to enjoy some of the benefits of Make-A-Wish at Disney World? She is currently undergoing chemo, & will need to rent a wheelchair, so I know to stop by guest services and get a GAC. I guess I am wondering if some of the things like free parking, free photos or even silly things like free water might be available to us. Of course I will have our Make-A-Wish paperwork with us to show that we are on her trip. Anyone have experience with this?

You should ask her wish-granter. Since she will get special treatment on the ship and this is the part paid for by MAW ( and is her "wish") they may or may not be able to help with MAW "status" on land since officially that is not her wish trip. Doesn't hurt to ask. It is the wish organizations paperwork that grants that status, not WDW.---Kathy
