Questions about Easter Trip

DH has given me the go-ahead to plan our next trip and it will most likely be over Easter since I am a teacher. What can I expect? Here are our plans so far....

Arrive late thursday nite March 24th after work....staying on site
Our first park day will be good friday. I plan on skipping the parks on Easter, maybe going to a water park?? Anybody done that.
We will be there until the following friday.
We plan on getting up and going to the parks early, taking a mid-day break, going back in the evenings, etc.

what can I expect as far as weather, crowds, and park hours?

I am also a teacher and we went Easter week 3 years ago. We followed the same strategy that you have planned--get to the parks before opening, leave when it gets crowded and go back to the resort and swim. We didn't find the crowds too bad that way. We had a WONDERFUL time. THe weather was perfect that year---a bit cool in the morning, then warm enough to enjoy the pool. We didn't go anywhere on Easter Sunday (We were just arriving.) We're planning another spring break trip this year!!! Can't wait!!

DUH!! I guess you'll be at the Beach Club, huh!! That's where we stayed 3 years ago! We'll probably either stay at the Swan or CSR this time!

Expect crowds and you should be fine.

If you have kids, don't forget to check with the front desk when you check in for Easter morning special events.

Two years ago we were at Old Key West on Easter Sunday and they have a resort wide Egg Hunt for the kids (3 eggs per kid).
My son had a lot of fun finding his eggs.

The Flower and Garden show start right after Easter Week, if your lucky you may be there for the first day of it. Its always fun to see all the extra topiary the put up in EPCOT.
