Questions about early December?

This December will be our first trip as DVC members.

We heard the Christmas parade will be taped at MK on Dec 6th. Friends told us the park is packed that day and it's best to avoid it unless we are trying to see the stars. The adults hated it, but their children said it was great because they were able to see the stars. Anyone else experience this?

Because of the parade filming, will MVMCP be packed on that same night?

Friday's in December, there are supposed to be Merry Mixers. Will there also be Welcome Home Wednesdays?

Stay far away from the MK on that day.

Are you sure they have a MVMCP scheduled for that night? That's a Sun and the parade is usually filmed over the weekend (Fri and Sat).

The actual parade is usually taped on Saturday. Guest spots around the castle or elsewhere are on Friday or Sunday or possibly other dates.

Hopefully the parade is another day. I read a post on some board that said it was December 6th. Hopefully that's not the case and they actually film in 4th and 5th. We'll be at AKV and going to AK, DHS those days.
We checkin to BLT on the 6th and are thinking of going to Epcor for CP staying away from MK. Then going to MVMCP on the 8th.

If the filming parade isn't on the 6th, we may swap dates. Go to MVMCP on the 6th, with CP on the 8th. We're hoping to get CP reservations while Anika Noni Rose is the hostess for CP. Thought it would be kind of neat to see her with Disney releasing "The Princess and the Frog" days afterward.
