Questions about DVC memberships

Question #1: I would like to know how adamant Disney is about the 4 guests per room on studios and 1 bedrooms. For example: A family of 5 (2 adults & 3 small children). Would they be required to stay at a 2 bedroom?

Question #2: If you buy in with the minimum 150 points and didn't want to borrow against your next year's points to do something bigger...can you rent the additional points you need and pool them with your own?

Thank you in advance...we are trying to get all the pros & cons before we make a purchase.

If a family of 5 has a child under 3 they can stay in a Studio. Member services does not have a problem with it. There are pack n plays in the closets. Member Services is allowing 5 in a one bedroom. I have booked this, this week.

To answer your second question... You would need to make a point transfer into your account. This is how you would be in control of your points and be able to pool them with your own. It is a very easy transaction to do, as long as both parties do what they are suppose to do. I have done these, with ease. If you do not use all of the points that you have transferred into your account ,you can bank those.
