We have never been to Disneyland and are planning a trip there next summer on our way to Hawaii. Could someone tell me should I plan two days to see DL or three? We are planning two weeks in all. I was thinking leave DFW on Friday evening and fly in to Anaheim. So when we wake up Saturday morning we are at Disneyland and ready to go. So then do we plan to fly to Hawaii on Monday or Tuesday? Really have no clue how much time to allow.

Also when I look at information on the DL site it is so different from the WDW site. There is no dining plan, well not like WDW. Do you recommend a hotel on site? We like the moderate level at WDW, so what would be the equivalent at DL?

I really could use some HELP! Any comments or suggestions would really be appreciated! Is there a guidebook that anyone recommends to help me wrap my brain around the DL way?

Three days is better. Hotels work differently and the off-site "ggod neighbor" hotels are good option for many people.

Suggestions? Here are a bunch:
