Questions about disney rewards visa

I have a disney rewards visa. I have a ton of rewards accrued($439) and have been thinking of ways to spend them without using it to book hotel(i already paid for my trip) I have a few questions on ways that i can spend them there.

1) Can I have dinner at say t-rex and charge it to my room account and pay for it later at the front desk?

2) Can I use it for disney floral

3) Can I use it to purchase stuff through photopass(cd or other stuff)


Any info will help THANKS!!!!

DO NOT plan on using it to pay for room charges!

My mom did this in June, thinking she would use her rewards towards the room charge bill at the end. They told her it was not possible, that they can not make changes once you have submitted a credit card to pay for the charges, and that the purchases are billed automatically to your credit card.

I used my Reward Dollars at Disney Restaurants and onsite stores. Not sure about T-Rex as I know I can't use my dollars at ESPNZone in DTD (Anaheim).

You can definitely use it towards any purchases you make with your KTTW card. We always "pre-pay" by giving our Rewards Card along with our credit card at check-in. We only had a problem one year when we had a new CM (who never even gave us our folder at check-in) who didn't think she could do anything since we had no charges to the room yet. A quick conversation with another CM and she was able to put it on the room so that we started out with a $255.00 credit. Every other year the CM knew exactly what we wanted and what to do.

There's only been a couple of places that I was unable to use the Reward card, but they were both for large amounts so it was quite an unpleasant shock. To be safe, ask first. Mine gets used for meals and souvenirs. I don't think I've ever had to pay for a meal at WDW since I got the card.

I've only used mine at Disney restaurants on site. They go pretty fast.

Just an FYI on another location it is not good at. I couldn't use it for DD's first haircut at Harmony Barbershop on Main Street. I was told it is not good at "Beauty Locatios". Oh well, it was only about $14. I am not sure if Bippity Boppity Botique counts as a Beauty Location since they don't cut hair.

I just cashed in my points and used it towards DD's Annual Pass Voucher at the Disney Store. Because of my rewards I didn't have to charge anything and got all our tickets purchased before any potential price increases!

I have a Disney Visa and you can NOT use your rewards card @ T-Rex. I asked when I was their in March and it was a NO GO! and dont think that you can use it on your room charges after the fact. We used ours in restaurants & stores inside the parks only (& at World of Disney at DT, i think).

We use Disney Rewards for meals and souvenirs. Gave DD and DS an equal amount of Disney reward dollars for them to "spend" on their souvenirs while at WDW in Aug.

Has anyone tried this recently? Every time I have attempted this at DL, I have been told that Rewards Dollars can't be exchanged for Disney Dollars though they initially were which helped at places that wouldn't accept Reward Dollars but would accept DDollars!

I just started a parallel thread. I wish I had found this one first!

I'm going to try to buy Disney Dollars at the Disney Store tomorrow. I'll report back with the results.

We had a $150 credit from our most recent statement (mainly because of that recent promo 5X grocery/gas from only 1 month) - anyway my husband couldn't understand my need to charge and take advantage of the promo before our trip - while we were there last week and after buying another milkshake with it at our resort food court - he says, "wow it's like free money".

We used our rewards totally for snacks in the parks and at our resort - it really went far too. Sunshine Terrace and many places in the countries of Epcot were used for our rewards.

Also, we didn't give a credit card, so we couldn't charge to the room - I find it to be too much when checking out - this way we don't have to scrutinize the bill, we just match our receipts to the statement at home. But many like the ease of not having to carry too many cards.

I used rewards at the spa at GF..........I had a divine massage, would have been worth every cent! But how nice not to have to pay!
