I'm thinking about just using disney for my extra photos, adding on b&w pkg and honeymoon pkg, it may be less hassle that trying to book outside photographer and pay the fees for a guide and everything.
They told me that i get my album and 20 pics free with wedding pkg & if I add on b&w pkg, i get another album with 20 pics for $325 and for an additional $350 they will give me all the proofs from both.
Has anyone used Disney, were you happy with your pics? How many proofs did you get? I'd like to have an idea what I'll be getting for $675.
Thanks

For $675, go with an outside photographer. Some Orlando photographers have packages for roughly $500, and then the remainder will cover the fees for a guide, etc.

HTH!!

I don't know about an outside photographer, but if you can get a better deal and don't mind working with an outside vendor, then what disneybridetobe said would be worth looking into.

In regard to the Disney photographer, honestly, when I planned our Intimate I didn't know there were options outside of Disney and I'm glad I didn't because our photographer was wonderful! I love our photos! He asked what we wanted, did some of the usual posed shots with the family, but we also have fun shots. He wanted to hear all the ideas we had and worked hard to accommodate what we wanted. In hindsight we both think we would have taken even more photos but we were getting tired of smiling so much :teeth: I think Disney photography did an amazing job and I am thrilled with our photographs!

I vote for Randy Chapman... get his intimate package and pay $575 or so- you will get an album of nearly 200 pictures and get all of the proofs to them. If you havent seen his work- just ask for it- there are SO many brides who have used him and literally... his work doesnt even compare to disney. He uses that focus lens on the camera like a fork when you are eating- he knows what hes doing. Some of my favorite photos are on Mabel and Terence's site that is in their signature... www.mabelandterence.com (Im sure terence wont mind me giving this out). Randy did their ceremony shots and the ones at the grand floridian. When you see those- you will know what you need to do. Seeing their photos imagining me and the soon to be disney husband in them.... well, that was the deal breaker for me. Seems very worth it.

On a side note- disney doesnt always charge you the $30 an hour to have an outside vendor. Take your chances!

Randy Chapmans website is chapmanphotography.com

if you go to Disney Brides the password is Ariel....

definately worth taking a look- I havent heard a single complaint on him yet :)

I am planning to use randy chapman as well... I hear he is fabulous and his work is amazing

I'd like to use Randy Chapman, unfortunately, I've got to stick as close as possible to the minimum, so that means using Disney. It's fine, I like all the pictures I've seen from Disney, I just think Randy is a better value.

I went with Disney and got about 125 pics of my intimate wedding last year. For $225, I purchased all of the proofs and rec'vd a low res cd too.

Ok, so I've posted this question on other threads, and I'm REALLY hoping you guys can help me out. I'm looking to book Randy for my upcoming trip next year. But my question is this; it's not our wedding, we're just retaking our wedding photos. My DW and I are taking our tux/wedding dress and doing just photos. How do we go about taking photos in the parks if we're not doing a disney wedding? Someone said you can only get photos taken in the park if you're having a disney wedding and you add the special on. Or maybe it was just you can't get in prior to the park opening w/out the wedding and package. Does anyone know? HELP!!! :confused3 :yay:

I don't want to be a downer, but I don't think you are going to be able to do this.

Only Disney Wedding couples can have pics taken in the parks and they must use Disney photographers.

For all intents and purposes, no one is allowed in the parks in wedding attire (unless they are custom brides and after park hours coordinated through DFTW).

Having said that, you could use Randy Chapman to take pics around the resorts, but again, I think you might have some problems if you are wearing your wedding attire. Disney is VERY possessive of their weddings department.

I know that's not really helping you...

Well, if that's true, I would rather find out now rather than then. Kind of like pulling off a band-aid real quick, just do it and I'll deal with the pain after. I wonder what all he CAN do then? We're staying at the GF while we're there. I wonder if he can take pictures around there at least? Don't let this stop the conversations! If anyone else has some more info, PLEASE let me know!!! :guilty: :sad2:

I know that Randy can take pictures at the resorts. I was going to use him for family portraits at the Grand Floridian and Sunset Pointe at the Poly with the castle in the background. I don't really know about taking those pics in a wedding gown though. Just call Randy or email him - he is really easy to work with.
