Okay, so I finally broke down and bought a pair of Cayman Crocs in Butter. However I need the back strap to stretch a little for it to fit right. The next size up was swallowing my foot. So I decided to buy the smaller size and either stretch the back strap or not use it. How would I go about stretching it?

Then when I got home I thought, "are those little nubbies going to rub my feet raw?" You see, my feet are sensitive like a diabetic's feet. I don't know why... :confused3 I think I have poor circulation in my legs and feet.

So I went to the Crocs website and lo and behold, they have Rx Crocs for diabetics and people with sensitive feet! :woohoo: The only problem is, the ones I bought that fit perfect are size 11. The size 12's were too big. These Rx shoes come in 10-11 or 12-13. Will the 10-11 be too small? I believe the 12-13 will definitely be too big if the Cayman 12's were too big. And the only shipping method seems to be "home delivery" for $9.95. Can they get them to me by next Thursday before our trip???

Should I return the others and risk the Rx ones not fitting correctly?

Will the Caymans bother my sensitive feet?

Someone please help with all my questions...

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

I really don't think it is possible to stretch the strap. I never wear the strap anyway, I just push it forward. They stay on very well but I always wear a light pair of socks.

shoes.com sells them with free shipping. I usually get my orders in a couple days. You might call a few sporting goods stores and large department stores (Dillards carries them here) to see if they have the diabetic ones. I wonder if any of the medical supply places or specialty shoe stores carry them?

Thanks so much, RNMOM! :flower3:

I think the Rx shoes are new, so I'm not sure if they have them in stores yet, but I will definitely be calling stores tonight.

I believe the rx shoes have been around for about a year. I haven't seen them in stores, however. Good luck in your search.

I know I have seen nearly all the other styles at Dick's Sporting goods here in Ohio recently.

Do you have wide feet? The cayman & beach look the same but the Beach are wider. They sell Cayman in Boscovs & Beach at the sporting goods stores

Use a blow dryer to heat the strap up then put the Croc on. Do not put them in the dryer or Microwave you can melt the plastic button that holds the strap on.

You can also stretch the strap by throwing them in the dryer for a few minutes to heat them up and then stretch it out to where you need it. I wouldn't stretch it TOO far though--you don't want them slipping around.

Nofeargear sells Crocs online and I got mine in 2 days. You will NEVER get them quickly from the Crocs website (well, I've never got them quickly--usually took a few weeks or so).

Why don't you get the RX ones and if they fit well and are kind to your feet THEN return the other ones. If you get the RX ones and you don't like them, return them.

I don't have sensitive feet, so I don't know if the Caymans will bother you or not. Wear them around the house a little and you'll know.

Best of Luck to you!

Does anyone have a picture of the inside of Crocs? I'm looking forward to getting my first pair next week at the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney, and I didn't realize there were "nubs" on the insoles. I have plantar fasciitis and now I'm wondering if the nubs would hurt, or feel good??:confused3 Thanks for any info on this :)

I have plantar fasciitis too and I think the little nubs feel wonderful, my DM on the other hand hates them and won't wear crocs because of them. I think they feel like a little massage with every step, but she said it was like walking on nails.

You can also buy replacement straps that if I remember do stretch.

The RX's have been available for a little over a year. In talking to the reps at Crocs (very nice, btw). the RXs typically won't be in stores, nor the professionals, due to the lower demand for them.

I have 7-8's when I wear an 8.5 because they tend to run big. As far as the strap goes, you can put the crocs in the dryer for a few minutes and pull on it (read that here sometime last year), or you can buy the stretchy straps from crocs, made of elastic.

I'm about to order another pair. I got professionals, but my regional director doesn't like the holes in them, so I'll get a pair of Endeavors.

My SIL is diabetic and she's got two pairs of the clouds and LOVES them. She held a pair of my shoes hostage last year. I left them with her to try and she refused to give them back until her order arrived. :lmao: Now my MIL is in on the crocs thing, too-but refuses to wear them in public.

Seaspray, I have PF, too, which is what lead me to buy the Crocs in the first place. The nubs definitely are a plus, IMO. I cut my other foot and I'm not enjoying the nubs at moment, though.

I have successfully stretched the strap on 3 different pairs of Crocs. I use the dryer - tumble them on low for about 3 to 5 minutes, then put them on over a pair of socks while they're still warm and walk around the house in them for a while. The strap conforms perfectly to my feet that way and stays that way from then on.

In terms of the double sizing - I wear an 8.5 in most shoes. My first pair of Crocs were Beaches, size 8-9. In Caymans, I wear a 9. OP, in your situation, I would try the 10-11 and stretch the strap.

I own 4 prs of crocs and of the 4 my cayman nubs seem rougher to me than my others but I figure it's a quality control issue not the style of shoe.
I'd love to get some of the professional style but can't decide on color.

Thanks everyone for all the info and advice! :grouphug:

I decided to go ahead and return the Caymans since I feel that the nubs will bother me.

I think I will wait until we get beack from Disneyland to buy the Rx Clouds. I like the pink ones! :thumbsup2 I'm gonna try the 10-11 and stretch the strap. I can't stand it when shoes are too big on me. It's a pet peeve of mine. I always wear my sneakers snug and I hardly ever wear dress shoes due to the fact that I'm so picky about fit.

Now to go shopping for some Jibbitz!

Yup, surfanddirt is part of nofear. I just ordered 2 more pair of Crocs tonight--couldn't find the colors in our Hallmark stores that I wanted.
