We are staying at the Great Wolf Lodge in NC and would love to hear from anyone who has stayed there. Also anything about Concord Mills Mall or anything else to do while we're there. We are going Thursday for a couple of days,3 adults and one 9 year old boy.Any help would be great. Thanks

Never been to GWL, so can't help there, but I've been to Concord Mills a few times. There's a large movie theater there, obviously lots of shopping and they have an awesome Bass Pro Shops also. If you are NASCAR fans, there are lots of race shops in the area that you can go visit.

We stayed at GWL in Pococno Penn this past August !!! Fabulous Fabulous FUN !!! My Kids are 17,13,10,9,5,4 !! My 3 boys910,9,5) were in their glory !! I have to recomend the meal package !!! well worth the money ! We didnt play the wand game tho ! No interest on the kids part for that, I think my 5 yr old asked once but I just reminded him that after our 2 day stay at GWL we were heading to Hershey Park, so he was ok with not getting a wand !! Have fun !! My kiddos keep asking to go back !!!

If you have a Nascar fan, Lowe's Motor Speedway is right there as well, they offer the Richard Petty Driving Experience. I prefer to shop though;)

Concord Mills is a nice size mall, one level in a big circle. They have a Disney Store there as well as a Lego store. Any questions, just ask. I'm down there at least once a week lately.

forgot to add !!! Grab a table or lounge chairs first thing in the morning when they open the doors to the water park !! They fill up fast ! on arrival day we couldn't find any, so I jumped out of bed the next morning and saved some with towels and kids shoes !! Have the kids wear a sirt down to the water park b/c they DO NOT let you leave the water area with towels !! and we never went right to the room from the pool/water park. ( kids always wanted to walk around and explore). We stayed in the loft suite !! So cool !!! I peaked into a few rooms walking past them when housekeeping was there !! All rooms look fun !! Really that's it on need to knows !! :)

Love Concord Mills!!!! I go there when I go watch my friends race on the dirt track at Lowe's!

Never been to GWL, but I like Concord Mills. They have a Dave and Buster's if your kids are into arcades. I like the Disney store there.

I work across the street - let me know if I can answer anything for you.

For food I would try Tsunami Japanese - it's in the same area that GWL is in. Also, across the street is Five Guys burgers (yum) and Starbucks.

IKEA is really close too - maybe 5 minutes down I85.

I don't know if it is still open, but Carowinds isn't that far from GWL. It is about 30 mins away, but it is close enough. There are plenty of race shops near there (Rousch, Hendrick, Michael Waltrip Racing). If you are into that kind of stuff, the website to where all of the shops are is: www.raceshops.com.

I like going to Concord Mills. Lots of great stores and lots of other stores near there. If you don't mind driving a little bit north for dinner, there is a GREAT place in Mooresville for BBQ that is called Lancasters. Great place to eat (their hush puppies are amazing!!)!!!!!

We visited there this past summer and had a great time. The waterpark was fun and they have MagiQuest as well. My DD didn't want to leave.

We took a tour of the Speedway. We rode on the track and as we went around he told us about the track. The Petty driving experience was there and we sat in the stand and watched. Next time we want to try this. We also went to the Hendrick garage. Some garages are free and some charge a fee. We got a map from the front desk of what was available.

Downtown Charlotte has the Nascar Hall of Fame. Discovery Place is a childrens musuem and IMAX theater. Carowinds is closed the season has ended. Charlotte has a botanical garden at UNC. Lake Norman has fishing. If the weather is nice. The Concord Mills has alot of shopping and resturants. They have a Bass Pro Shop with a little aquarium.

We have been to Concord Mills many times and to the GWL in Concord once. We love both!

We stayed at GWL in NC the first week of October this year, the kids loved it. I found it very clean and the rooms spacious, we had the wolf den suite which had separate bunk beds. Our room had a microwave which we used to heat up leftovers for lunch one day and a fridge so we could keep drinks and snacks in our room. We ate lunches at the hotel and suppers out. Sticky Fingers (bbq) and Logans Roadhouse Grill were both close, only a 1-2 min drive and both were very good. The days we were there were not crowded at all, plently of seats and no lines but it was Sun-Tues so that prob made a huge difference. Like I said before I found it very clean everywhere--rooms, pool area, and lobby. The staff was very courteous and pleasant. And the lifeguards were amazing, I have never seen the attentiveness (sp) that I saw there. The lifeguards on duty were constantly being monitored and tested by the managers. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel, we had a great time.

Is there anything in particular you are interested in? Do you want to limit to that particular area? I ask because there's a lot to do in Charlotte, there are race shops all over the place and Concord has a very nice downtown. I've lived in that area since before there was an exit 49 (or an exit 54, for that matter).

It could run into a good bit of additional money, but one of the biggest other activities in the area is the Renaissance Festival. http://www.royalfaires.com/carolina/

I've actually worked at both places (At concord mills, and SCarowinds). Carowinds is closed until 2012, I would say it's worth a trip back to go to Carowinds one day, excluding the fact that I worked there. Concord Mills is a great mall, I can't tell you about GWL, since I've never been there in the 10 years I've lived here. There's many great shops in the mall, and a speedway just a few minutes down the road. Let me know if you want to know any more information. :)

Concord Mills mall is nice - lots of stores and Dave & Buster's arcade place is good. (Pricey, though) There are tons of stores and restaurants all around the area.

Haven't stayed at GWL yet.

The NASCAR track will have a drive-through Christmas Lights show soon. We went last year and it was really fun. You get to drive on the track and they have a "pit stop" with refreshments, an (artificial) ice rink, craft sales and charity decorated trees. It was a good hour or two of things to see and do.
