I am trying to research CL right now & can't seem to find the answer of a couple questions so I was hoping someone could help :)

Right now we have are booked at DLH 2 bedroom family connecting suite for 6 day over the holidays. We have a check out of 12/25 & will move our bags over to a place across the street unless we add a couple nights at the GCH(either 1 bedroom or just CL) -- the 2 bedroom family suite wasn't available past then I did just see the 1 bedroom is available for the whole time and also the days after We are debating adding CL & have it notated on our reservation we want to at check in.

Will our 15 yr old be able to go into the CL by himself & also bring his sister 5 yr old sister?
This is a big deciding factor in if we do add it. Most of the time we would be going together as a family, but still can see them wanting to run to get snacks together.
Do they have beer, wine, & sparkling wine all day long or just in the evening?
Can you add certain days of the stay or does it need to be all of them? Pretty sure we would do all but was curious if that was possible.

TIA!

We have used Club Level at Grand Californian on three occasions. Our teens could come and go at will and also bring back whatever they wanted to the room. As long as they had a key card, there was no issue. Beer and wine was available at all times. Club Level may seem expensive but my son did the math and it was cheaper than eating in the parks. And so convenient with comfortable seating. I highly recommend. I have never tried Club Level at Disneyland Hotel so I am unable to compare.

Thanks!!! We had originally planned to do the GCH for 5 days & it is still something we have still been mulling over. We could only do the 1 bedroom at GCH -- I can't justify the price of 2 bedroom there. It is only 4 of us but my husband and I are really wanting some privacy it seems like the only option LOL

I think I am agreeing with your son on price! I figure if anything it can allow us to do our meals/snacks in the CL & then do our dinner reservations in the park. I saw a YT with a family that really might of sold me because they REALLY used it & I love watching it! If anything our 15 yr will cover the cost & if we have a few cocktails a day!

While I've never stayed, Foolish Portals did a recent stay Club Level at DLH and it looks fantastic. It seems like beer and wine is available all day upon request. We will likely switch to a club level room if a winter discount comes out cheaper than our DVC DLH stay. Right now we have a garden view studio villa. Luckily I don't have to deal with that decision yet 😂, but I am very tempted to do club level and definitely will sometime in the future!

My aunt and uncle always do CL and they said its worth it for the food alone if you plan to stay at the disneyland hotel or GC anyways. She said they even take extra snacks from there into the park to have food while they are in the park like bagels, cookies, etc.

I just watched that and loved it!!

Been a bit since I've stayed there, but DLH E ticket lounge had all the drinks all day. I get a mimosa or a glass of beer when I arrive, which is well before check in time.

I have seen teens in the lounge without adults. The serving staff shows them complete attentiveness and respect.

Club level is fun and likely worth it if you have a family. As someone who is a light drinker (usually) and doesn't drink sodas, the value is dependent on food quality. I hope it's better now than my last visit (DLH Dec '22). In my case, I usually go with my sister now and we prefer our favorite dining venues to CL, though an occasional splurge is always fun. It doesn't pay for itself for the 2 of us, though.

I feel the same. I am going in August but it is just me and I figured I can splurge on table service dining and extras. CL for me is not worth it. First time at GCH Woods Courtyard view...always stayed before every trip at DLH.

I find the occasional splurge worth it for my family not necessarily just the food but specifically at the DLH because when I go in September I will have an almost 2 year old and an almost 4 year old and the convenience of being able to take my kids back to the room, get them showered, in their pajamas and then take them to the lounge to watch the fireworks with a treat (and Champaign for me) and then have them into bed 5 minutes after the fireworks end is something I will pay extra for. Not fighting crowds out of the park and then still having to do the whole bedtime routine is just so nice.

Yes, I used to go with my family of 5 and it was wonderful. They had good food options, and we would make sandwiches out of the breakfast croissants, meats and cheeses, drinks, etc to take into the parks later. It was great to come back for a break and so nice not to have to get everybody into a restaurant. The concierge people made special cocoas and things like that for the girls, who thought that was wonderful, of course!

Once many years ago I went with a friend and we stayed in the Fairy Tale Suite at DLH. That was super cool, as the fireworks viewing was amazing from the room and the concierge lounge was right next door. We had a couple of friends join us and the lounge gave us a bottle of sparkling wine and a bunch of fruit and snacks for us while we watched the fireworks from the suite. We all wore tiaras and had a blast! The FTS is--or used to be--a pretty good bargain considering you get that big suite and lounge service is included as well as a couple of other perks. The reason it's cheaper is because they only let you book it for 2 people.

That convenience alone I think is what really made me consider CL!

I am so jealous!! I someday want to be able to book that suite for my daughter and me maybe when she is older for a special occasion. I am hoping this trip with her at 5 1/2 will kick off a very long tradition of trips & maybe someday mommy daughter ones.

I hope you will be writing about that trip someday! It seems so weird to me that I was posting about taking my little girls to Disneyland and suddenly, they're not little girls. One is 23 and the twins are 20. They still love DL (the 23-year-old works there) and I can't wait until we can all go there together again. It has been a few years. Here's one of my favorite pics of my princesses

This is so beautiful 💕 It is so amazing you have got to make so many of those memories!! My boys are 22 & 14 and they liked Disney but really could take it or leave it. I joke I finally got my girl that not only loves princesses but also bugs & science LOL She was 'singing' before she could talk and she loved Moana & I am pretty sure I have seen it 100x

She 100% believes the the princesses lives at Disneyland & has been asking to go none stop for the past 1.5 yrs. We've told her you have to go on a plane so she thinks anyone who is flying is going to DL 🤣She thinks we are going to the beach(she's also never seen the ocean!) on vacation and letting it be a total surprise... I am figuring once we pull up to the hotel she will put it together. That is one of the reasons why I keep going back and forth between the DLH & GCH and really considered splitting the trip because I know she would adore those headboards!

Awwww....that brings back memories! Your daughter is going to be SOOOO excited!!! I can't wait to hear about your trip.

Hotel-wise, you can't go wrong with either DLH or GCH. We always went to DLH when the girls were little and switched to GCH when they got older.

What beach are you going to visit? Huntington is fun and Laguna is spectacularly beautiful.

Thank you 💕 A lot of people(no one on here LOL) realize how excited I am for this trip and making these memories. For me personally one of my probably most cherished childhood memories was going to DL on Christmas, seeing Toy Tinkers on a Christmas TV special, and seeing the Main Street light parade!!! So people who say you don't remember things from 4-5 yrs old are 100% wrong... those are totally core memories:p

I NEVER thought I would agonize over a hotel like I have for this trip -- it's actually borderline sad at this point! It might be because this is the trip I have waited so long for and now can really do it differently than I ever could of before. Having it pushed back also because of COVID and everything by years just added to it. I know the kids would love DLH(we would also) but GCH keeps calling my name & I am pretty sure that might be a little bit of FOMO. With that said no one seems to ever regret staying there and it can't just be the location either! Right now it will be $700(I feel stupid even typing that) more a night to get just the 1 bd suite at the GCH vs the 2 bd family suite we have booked at DLH. We could split the visit and actually wouldn't be too much more than what we are planning. But there will continue to be that little voice in my head saying just do 5 night at the GCH and consider this a splurge trip like you planned! I just wish DH & I didn't want some privacy and we just do a standard or CL room and call it a day. The 15 yr already has plans to bring his sister on some mini 'adventures' in the park & they could also go up to CL lounge etc.

Right now we are thinking Laguna!! I know it will be winter(I lived in the Pacific Northwest on the coast so gloomy, cold, or rain doest phase me!) but I know it is still considered a beautiful beach in the winter. I was thinking also the tide pools we could enjoy! I did see some deals also for Huntington the other day. The beach part is actually were I am hitting a wall with on planning.
