Questions about Club Level reservations

Recently, I received a pin that did not work on my existing reservation at WL, but allowed me to upgrade to a Club Level room for only a little more than what I was currently paying, so after doing some research into the perks, like extra food, the robes, etc, I upgraded. Now that I have had time to do a little more reading, I was wondering about the concierge at the different resorts as I have never stayed at any hotel that had it available for use.

I figured with being Disney, some of the requests might be a little different than other hotels say in NYC, Chicago, etc. My main question is: Can a concierge at a club level resort aid in finding specific characters for greet and meets? Not necessarily arranging for the greet & meet, though that would be great LOL; but help locate the character in any of the parks, resorts, parties, etc.

I ask as my dream meet & greet would be with Scrooge McDuck, and we missed him our first trip in 2009 not realizing where he was and by the time we were told, Donald's Tree Farm was no longer a meet & greet point. Then in 2010, we were there during Halloween so he was not really an option, but now we will be there in Nov, and have 2 MVMCP parties available to us, etc, and I figure this is my best shot for a picture

Also, what other perks are there to having a concierge available? I usually do my ADRs at the 180 day mark, so I really do not help making dining reservations, etc. What is an appropriate tip should we ask for their help with something?

I am sure they can try to find out if he will be appearing.

As far as other conceirge services, They were very helpful in getting all my ADR's I wanted. I left them in charge of a party of 10 and by 930am I had all my ADR's. They also ask you if there is anything you need as far as park maps, info on parks, info on different things to do, anything that has to do with your room or parking. Just about anything that you need they will try to make happen. When we stayed at the Poly CL, there was a lady that didnt like milk chocolate(the chocolate picture frame of the poly that they give you) she wanted a white chocolate one. They went out of their way to make that possible for her :cutie:

That's awesome that you recieved a pin for November that allowed you to upgrade to CL for little extra - I would love to get my hands on one of those!!!

As for your question, I don't believe the CL Concierge can assist in locating a specific character. They can help in purchasing tickets to shows or events, assist in making reservations, etc.

I don't believe you would tip them for assisting in those types of activities.

Disney calls it club level vs concierge for a reason; their club levels do not offer the level of service or perks that you will find at non Disney resorts that have concierge floors.

How so? When I called in, the CMs kept referring to the CMs who work Club Levels as Concierges? I realize CMs on the phone are not the end all be all of info for everything, but other things I have seen here say they go pretty far to fulfill requests?

Its funny because I keep seeing on the boards that it is now "Club Level" and I've been under that impression for some time; however when I initially called to upgrade my room, the CM on the phone kept correcting me and saying it was "Concierge Level." I just kinda shrugged and let it go. Even the official website calls them Club Level.
