Questions about California Grill

All right, I posted a few days ago looking for a nice TS resturant for our first night at MK, but I think CG is the place to be. Here is my main question: I've heard you can see Wishes from the view at the resturant, and this is most certainly something we would want. However, do you have to book some sort of special dinner package to get seating for the time of the display, or just have to be in the resturant around that time? Also, what time should I look to make an ADR to ensure that we are there for the fireworks? Thanks for the info.

You should make your ADR for a table about an hour or so before fireworks are supposed to begin. Get to the check in table (not on same level as the CG) about 30 - 45 minutes before your ADR. When you check in let them know you want a window seat, that you are willing to wait, and that you will be at the bar. Then be prepared to wait.

Even if you didn't get a window seat, they already know that everyone that doesn't sit by the window stops eating and goes out on the observation deck to watch the fireworks display then returns to their table.

We made it clear we'd wait for a window table. We were told, in no uncertain terms, that they won't accommodate us in a window table. They apparently often block them out for VIPs, and that was the case the night we were there.

What was nice though, is just as the fireworks started, they ushered the VIPs away to some, presumably "better" viewing area, so we picked up our desserts and sat down at one of the VIP tables and watched the show!
