Questions about buying add-ons through Disney - minimum amounts , UY

Hi all. I had originally intended on buying at BCV via resale, with the thought that my kids would enjoy the Epcot area more when they're older. However the current Disney incentives for AKV (the only DVC resort we've stayed in) seem awfully appealing especially we were planning to stay at SSR this October anyway (and could use the Developer's points to do this).

We still like the idea of having the 11-month opportunity to book at BCV since it seems to be getting increasingly hard to book at 7-months. We would likely have the means to add on in 5 years or so at BCV.

My questions are:
1. Is there a mininum amount you have to purchase as an add-on?
2. Are there add-on amounts that are more likely to be available? I assume less points are more easy to get than more. I would be thinking about getting 80-90 add on points in a few years.
3. Is there any rhyme or reason regarding which UY are more likely available via add-on?
4. Would a BCV add-on have to have the same UY as a current AKV contract?

25 points if you pay via cash or credit card; 50 points if you finance

It's easier to get a small add-on than a large one

3. Is there any rhyme or reason regarding which UY are more likely available via add-on?

No "rhyme or reason", but some UY's seem to have better availability than others at times

4. Would a BCV add-on have to have the same UY as a current AKV contract?

Yes, unless you added on at least 160 points to get a new master contract
