Leaving in 2 1/2 weeks and am thinking about eating at Boatwrights one evening after a day at AK.

We will be staying at POR.

1st...do we need an ADR?

2nd.... would you recommend Boatwrights or would you just relax by the pool after eating a quick meal at the food court..

Also, there are 2 days on our trip that we plan to sleep in and go to a park later in the afternoon. IF we decided to eat lunch at Boatwrights one of these days would you need an ADR for lunch?

We have stayed at POR before but have never dined at Boatwrights.
Thanks
for the help.

I ate there once, and did not have an ADR. I think that I was seated within ten minutes. I ate there alone, because I dropped the kids off for the Sassagoula River Adventure, and decided to eat while they were there. This was for breakfast, and it was very good. I had the stuffed french toast, or whatever they call it there. I was not rushed at all, and since I had about a two hour wait for the kids, I drank a lot of coffee. The service and food was wonderful.

Usually, you drop off the kids around 9:00 am, for these chldren activities, so it was for a later breakfast. The restaurant was maybe one third filled. If you are going during a more popular eating time, then you may need an ADR. We once stayed at POR, and saw that the restaurant was busier at other times. The time that we stayed at the POR was not the same time that I dropped the kids off and ate at Boatwrights.

I get the impression that the resort TS restaurants do not seem as busy as the park restaruants, so ADRs do not seem all that important for the resorts, but if you are going at a busy time of year, ie Christmas, you may want an ADR.

I enjoyed the restaurant, but it is kinda hard to screw up stuffed french toast. Again, I must say that the waitress was very nice and very prompt, too.

Since you want to sleep in a couple of days, then I would just get up, get ready, and go to the restaurant. I would not worry about an ADR, unless you are going to eat closer to noon.

Maybe it's just me, but when DH and I stayed at POR or have gone to eat at Boatwright's, it was always busy. We walked up one night after walking from POFQ (in October) and would have had to wait 1.5 hrs! Egads! We ate at the foodcourt instead.
I would make an ADR just to be on the safe side.

Boatwright's doesn't serve lunch (it did temporarily while the food court was being rehabbed).

And I know nothing about the dinner, but the breakfast is great... considered it for breakfast?

Thanks.
I think I will make an ADR for dinner just in case.
I am not going to worry about breakfast.
Thanks
Lisa
