Questions About Boardwalk Inn . . .

For any Boardwalk experts . . .
I know that the resort has a health club, but do you need to pay, or become a member to use it? And are there possible areas to jog around the resort. This is my first time staying at Boardwalk, and I want to be able to keep running over vacation!!!!

If you are staying at any WDW Resort with a health club then you can work out there for free, so no need to purchase anything or to become a member.

It's a nice little healt club too -- not a bad place to catch a massage.

I've seen people jog around the lake (pond? water feature...). It is a scenic place to exercise and if you go before 10is in the morning you shouldn't have any difficulty with crowds.

I loved sitting out on the balcony, watching the early morning runners/walkers go around the lake.

You can jog around the Boardwalk. From the Dance Hall to the Yacht Club is probably just about 1 mile. You can keep going to wards the Swan/Dolphin. The only thing to watch for on the Boardwalk is it can be slippery if you are running early morning and there is any condensation on it. We were just there in Dec. and saw a lot of people out for a run in the morning, although not so much in the late afternoon.

The walkway to DHS is probably about 1.5 miles each way.

I used the healthclub during our january dvc stay. You sign up for a club key and you can use the facilities anytime as your key will let you in 24hours/day. The only thing I didn't use was the treadmill. I figured i would get enough of that in the parks.

FYI the facility is not real big. They have mirrors on all the walls to make it look bigger.
